CBI Court Finds Nobody Guilty In A Billion-Dollar Scam And Twitter Can't Handle The Absurdity

First things first: for all those who don't know about the 2G scam, let us enlighten you!

Six years ago, the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) alleged that 122 2G licenses were given to telecom operators at throwaway prices, causing a loss of Rs 1.76 lakh crore to the national exchequer. Eventually, the licenses were scrapped by the Supreme Court in 2012. However now, due to lack of substantial evidence the court has set free all the accused including former Union telecom minister A Raja and Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozhi.

This scam was one of the reasons the Congress party-led UPA was regarded as one of the most corrupt governments ever which eventually lead to the coalition's collapse.

The judge OP Saini said, “There is no evidence on the record produced before the court indicating any criminality in the acts allegedly committed by the accused persons relating to fixation of cut-off date, manipulation of first-come first-served policy.”

As the news of the verdict spread, people on Twitter were extremely confused and angry. And why won't they be? After 6 years, this verdict cannot be expected to go down well with the citizens of the country.

While some were extremely annoyed, others took a hilarious dig at the verdict:

1. Looks like, he isn't guilty either.

So ladies and gentlemen, once again, justice has gone out the window and this scam had come to an abrupt end with absolutely no one to be blamed. All hail the judiciary of our country!
