Let's give the lad a 'Certificate of Participation' first. For unknowingly or casually, raining on the 'fade' parade in life. A hairstyle, that was once introduced into the world by grooming gods like David Beckham and Zayn Malik, and glorified by a million humans across the globe. So with hundred of pages of visual proof, it's safe to say, that Dhoni too succumbed to the 'do at one point in his life. And what started as just a casual grooming move years ago has now become the cricketer's way of life.

Over time, however, the inventor of the 'Helicopter shot', Mahendra Singh Dhoni has put out his variations of the haircut on display in public. While most have been versions of a medium-length fade, we did see moments of a low-fade as well. All in all, until now, he's had a great run at acing the decade's biggest hair trend.

Rounding it up, let's give it to him: he's excelled at taking the 'do from casual settings to highly formal press conferences too. Proving, that the 'fade' is clearly one of the biggest highlights of his life.

But as it is with every worldly process, a few body changes happen over time. To say it out straight: over the course of time, of course Dhoni's hair colour turned to 'salt and pepper'. Hence, the need for hair colouring arose (which we're sure he succumbed to) when we hardly saw any moments of the 'salt' on him (kudos, man). But if a recent Instagram post that's making the rounds is any indication, looks like he's turned to indifferent times:

Caught candid by the bugs with his baby daughter 'Ziva', Dhoni stands for a big salt and pepper in the image above. Notice how the crease line of the fade is almost snow-like and only gradually turning to the colour black (as you move upwards). The centre of the mane, however, is quite a spiked-Mohawk hybrid and not forgetting, also short enough for very easy maintenance. 

Which salon did he head to and who's his damn barber, are answers we're trying to find on google right now. In all probability, however, we're certain that it's Sapna Bhavnani's scissor magic once again!
