Kidnappers Had To Let Go A Man They Abducted Because Of The Madness That Is Gurgaon Traffic

In a hilarious turn of events, people who abducted a toll plaza official at Kherki Daula, Gurgaon, had to actually let him go because they got stuck in a traffic jam. The whole incident started at around 10:15 am, with a man driving a Mercedes refusing to pay the toll tax of Rs.60. The accused also produced a fake driving licence which aggravated the situation and resulted in a heated argument with Manij Kumar, the toll booth’s assistant manager.Β

Reportedly, the same Mercedes returned an hour later with 3 more men along with another 15 men riding a Toyota Fortuner and abducted Manoj Kumar at gun point. As they were quite close to the toll booth, they refrained from opening fire but instead they drove off about 150 metres away and mercilessly beat up Kumar, which was caught on a CCTV camera as well.

But since this happened in Gurgaon, where traffic just keeps getting worse, the abductors had no other choice and had to let Kumar go. β€˜β€™They feared being seen or caught trying to take me away,’’ Kumar said. The Kherki Daula police have registered a case of assault and abduction against the goons.

Who would’ve thought that the horrible traffic in Gurgaon would actually end up helping someone?
