Well, a fighter does need all of their body parts to work in that line of profession, and I'm saying that in the least offensive way. But, then there are people out there who don't play by the rules and prove everyone wrong in the best way possible.
Here we have Nick Newell, who is a fighter in more than one sense. The 31-year-old MMA fighter from Milford, Connecticut, was born with congenital amputation of his left arm, which finishes just below his elbow. But, he did not let that come in the way of his dream and proved everyone who thought he wouldn't stand a chance in a normal fight wrong, in the best possible way.
Bloody Elbow
Recently he beat Vicente Luque, at LFA35 in the first freaking round, or you could say, he beat him single-handedly. (Okay, I'm sorry)
Reportedly, Newell was able to take Luque down and started a rear-naked choke. It seems like the submission was too much for the American-born Brazilian MMA fighter as he tapped at theΒ 2:10Β mark.
In his post-match speech, he said, βLife is a cold hard place. It will chew you up and spit you out. But if you make it your bitch, you can do anything. You can either become a victim of circumstances or you can create your own. I'm out here, I'm creating my own circumstances. I'm one of the best fighters in the world and I belong in the UFC. That's it. That's final. I gave you 14 reasons why I belong in the UFC. I'm one of the best fighters in the world and I proved it 14 times.β

Out of his 15 fights, this became his 14thΒ win.
Even though the fact that he only has one hand doesn't really slow him down, he does need time to prepare his body for fights. He fought after a long time since his last match was over two years ago. He announced his retirement from MMA following his win against Tom Marcellino at WSOF 24 in 2015, saying his body couldn't keep up with the sport any longer.

But, he sure as hell isn't giving up anytime soon. Now, we all hope he soon gets his contract with the UFC.
