Delhi’s most popular and favourite food festival, Grub Fest, is coming back this weekend for its fourth edition. The country’s premiere food festival has come a long way—from having started out in Delhi in its maiden year to conquering and building a fan-base across the major cities of Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Gurgaon, the Grub Fest has grown over time. Yes, the last time around, the fest was a little less than lukewarm in the capital, with many complaining about the set up and the entire experience put together.
But, we’re a forgiving race like that and when it comes to food and festivals, we always tend to show up. Grub Fest is still a pioneer in many ways when it comes to food festival experiences in the country. Over the past three editions, the Grub Fest has amassed a collective footfall of over 3 lakh food enthusiasts, 300 restaurants, a line-up of prominent chefs and some of the top entertainment artistes in the country.

This time around, the fest boasts of a number of newly-opened restaurants presenting their brand and food to a large audience for the first time, along with some of the older, renowned names. There is also something called the Grub Market—for upcoming brands to showcase and sell gourmet products—and a Grub Theatre for chefs to perform demos of their favourite dishes, recipes and cooking techniques. Add to this mix a few panel discussions with food entrepreneurs and special screenings of food-related movies and documentaries. And of course, the most sought after Grub Arena will have live performances by some of the most prominent independent local artistes.
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. With about 100 restaurants and F&B brands participating at the Grub Fest this year, we got Founder Chaitanya Mathur to list out six places that would be an absolute must-visit during the three day carnival, happening from 17th to 19th March, 2017, at the Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium.
Here are 6 of Chaitanya’s favourites that he recommends to all visitors the coming weekend.1. Work In Progress (WIP)
