The golden-eyed boy of Indian cricket, Virat Kohli, has been conferred with the prestigious Padma Shri award by the president. Brilliant and aggressive on the field, Virat Kohli has been a game-changer for Indian cricket. His track record has been impressive as hell and the young lad broke many records very early in his career. The fastest Indian to reach 1000 runs in ODIs , he also holds the record for the fastest century by an Indian cricketer, having scored 100 runs in 52 balls.

The skipper who recently opted out of the India-Australia match in Dharamshala won much love when he handed out drinks to the Indian team. Much humbled after receiving the award from President Pranab Mukherjee, he tweeted:
