A Cancer Patients Brother Asked Coldplay To Just Send Him A Hi. He Got Chris Martin Instead

You might think being in a band, full time is crazy good. Well you are right. Insane amount of fame, great music, stellar money and a wonderful string of fans come by the virtue of being successful. Coldplay is no different and Chris Martin certainly is a very busy man.

Ken Valiant Santiago is also a regular Coldplay fan and was looking forward to watch them play live, except that he couldn’t.

Cancer got the better of him and sadly, the young boy, who once stood in lines for hours to buy a ticket to watch Chris Martin sing, was now struck to the bed. His brother, Kheil wrote an open letter on Facebook and urged his friends to spread it so it could reach the band. He asked the band to send a ‘hi’ or a short message for him as that would make him very happy. With the power of social media, it reached the band, and Chris Martin came down to meet him instead!

The band was scheduled to be in Manila for their concert and when this request reached Rhiza Pascua, she ensured that she could get Chris to meet Ken.

Chris spent some quality time with Ken and even though Ken couldn’t speak due to his present condition, he managed to express through writing down his thoughts.

Chris came with a lot of goodies for Ken and needless to say, he was a very happy boy!

This heart warming gesture definitely helped Ken and it fixed our aching hearts too. On that note, here’s something you should go back to:
