News anchors are known for their calm and poised stance on screen while reading news. Not just the news piece, but their persona too spellbinds us towards the story that is being presented. When I was young, I was so mesmerized by their aura that I often thought they can’t be real. They must be robots who are reading out the news stories, especially during the Doordarshan days I was totally convinced of my theory – you know how bizarre kids’ imagination can get sometimes. Having said that, Anchors are expected to be flawless on camera, but there are times when they need a break too. Remember the BBC dad, who was interrupted by his kids during a live session? Well, in a similar incident, an Australian news anchor was recently caught ‘daydreaming’ on air.

Natasha Exelby, was apparently presenting an evening news bulletin for ABC 24 channel and when the camera panned back to her face after showing the news snippets, she was found fiddling with a pen. Sooner than she realized, the whole world or at least those who religiously watch this news channel had already caught her off-guard. If things weren’t awkward enough for her, her expression left the internet in splits and made this news clip go viral.

Her expression is so relatable that we feel it can go with almost any and every situation, irrespective of the gender. Imagine, your mom forcefully takes you to a jagrata and the guy plays Yo Yo Honey Singh’s song.
