Politician Promises That Virat Kohli Will Attend His Rally But Brings Lookalike Instead

Sometimes we all say stuff and make promises in the heat of the moment, but when it comes to following through, it becomes a little tricky. However, there are some of us who still manage to come through. Well, kinda.

While we're aware of all the 'jumlas' that a lot of politicians try to pull, this one candidate made sure he stayed true to everything he promised.

Candidate Vitthal Ganpat Ghavate who contested for the post of Sarpanch under Ramling Gramvikas Panel, put up posters and hoardings promising people that Indian skipper Virat Kohli himself will attend the rally on Friday. First of all, why? Second of all, seriously why? Obviously, Virat Kohli has all the time in the world to show up and endorse candidates for the post of sarpanch, right?

Before this guy's 'jugaad' went viral, his exciting news of his special guest did, and a lot of people gathered to meet the Indian team captain.

Now comes the best part – Kohli actually showed up! Can you believe it? I sure can't. See, he looks so happy to be there!

Why does it look like he's become shorter? Maybe it was just the stress of IPL. RCB did have a bad run after all.

Okay, all jokes aside, I'm kinda impressed that this guy went and found a Kohli lookalike just to keep his promise, in a way. But, it's still hilarious and people on Twitter had a good laugh over this fake Kohli.

So this actually happened. They put up an election rally ad saying Virat Kohli is going to campaign for us and they actually fooled public by bringing a lookalike of Virat Kohli ððððð pic.twitter.com/Xl9GvAVi2W

It does seem like a lot of people actually bought it. Well, if they're happy then that's a good thing, right?

Actually, scratch that. This particular guy ain't buying anyone's bullshit.

Nothing is ever funny enough until it becomes a meme, so of course, this was a meme for a couple of days.

The first picture should've been of the real Virat Kohli. #memefail
