If Narendra Modi wasn't the Prime Minister of India, he could have easily been the CEO of a big PR company in India. From his '15 lakh in every bank account' jumlas to 'reducing the prices of fuel' in every city in India slogans, his promises in rallies just before the 2014 General elections have turned out to be just that – empty slogans for winning elections.

With fuel prices reaching an all-time high, the government seems to be the least bit concerned about the state of the common man in India. The price of petrol in New Delhi is at an all-time high of Rs. 78.43 whereas in Mumbai, it's still over Rs 85. While many still fearfully believe that fuel prices could even soar over Rs 100, the government seems to be playing a prank on the middle class in India at the moment. After a ridiculous one paisa relief on Wednesday, petrol prices were cut by 7 paisa on Thursday - so much for depositing 15 lakh in every bank account by 2019.
Twitter was up in arms against this atrocious display of arrogance from the government. Here are some reactions from people who are trying to find some solace in humour.
When You Think Of It, The Prices Were Actually Slashed 7 Times! In the history of India, this has never happened.
Never before petrol prices were slashed 7 times in just 1 day. Today the petrol is cheaper by 7 paise, yesterday it was reduced by just 1 paisa.

The government of the day plays a brutal prank on the people of India by reducing the petrol rates by 0.01 paiseð

— Bibu Bose (@bose_bibu) May 31, 2018The government now claims that they are finding a permanent solution for the fuel problems, however, shouldn't the government first protect its citizens from such high fuel prices, before going into a week-long huddle to find solutions?
