A new hands-on video shared by the folks at Macotakara compares the iPhone X with the detailed 3D-printed mockups of the rumored 2018 iPhones. The mockups have been based on the final design schematics, that were recently leaked by one of Apple's Supply Chain partner in Asia.

A few years ago, Apple was infamous for its secrecy around upcoming products, and clearly, this is not the case right now. We now have an estimated number of units ordered to the exact size of the displays that are slowly becoming public, months before the launch. This time, detailed schematics were spilled as well and people didn't waste a second in working on these and producing physical mockups.

Apple is planning to launch three iPhones this year. The first one will sport a 5.8-inch OLED display and measure 143.65 mm high, 72.03 mm wide, and 7.69 mm thick. This one is very similar to the current iPhone X in terms of design.

The second iPhone may sport a 6.4-inch OLED display and measure 157.53 mm in height, 77.44 mm in width, and 7.85 mm in thickness. That is, just 1mm taller, wide and 0.4mm thicker than the iPhone 8 Plus. The camera opening is the same size as the ones for iPhone X and Xs, making room for dual lenses.

Lastly, the third iPhone is expected to sport a 6-inch LCD display and will measure 150.91 mm high, 75.72 mm wide and 8.47 mm thick.

The article also notes that Apple is unlikely to include rumored USB-C connectivity in 2018, at least according to the supplied dummies.

Instead of "forehead" and "chin" areas, the up-sized OLED phone is anticipated to incorporate a TrueDepth "notch" and an edge-to-edge screen.

Apple is reportedly expecting the lower-cost LCD offering to be the most popular smartphone of the trio. Recent information has also stated that the company is confident about the iPhone X Plus and has placed an order for 45 million units from its supply chain partners.

This also means that Apple could've completely scrapped the iPhone SE2, and the iPhone 9 may just be the successor. According to respected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone Xs will cost between $800 and $900, while the iPhone Xs Plus will be between $900 and $1000. The iPhone 9 will supposedly be relatively more affordable: somewhere between $600 and $700.
