Akash proposed to his long-time girlfriend in March this year in Goa. The Mehtas and Ambanis have been friends forever and the proposal took place in front of the families. For those who don't know the couple studied together in Dhirubhai Ambani International School and have known each other for a very long time.

Families knew this was coming and decided to convert their 'dosti into rishtedari'. Shloka is the daughter of Russell Mehta who owns Rosy Blue Diamonds, one of the world's largest diamantaires. The next-gen Ambani bahu is worth $18 million and we are still wrapping our heads around the zeros.
