Mexico Fans Celebrating Germany's Exit With South Koreans Shows Why Football Is A Great Unifier

Germany's shock exit from the World Cup in the group stages after a 2-0 loss to South Korea was a blessing in disguise for Mexico, who lost their match to Sweden.

Mexico and Sweden qualified from their group for the knockouts and they have South Korea to thank for this.

In Mexico City yesterday, hundreds of football fans went to the South Korean Embassy to show their gratitude for the match. Here's a video of the same:

This is the first time since 1938, that Germany has failed to get past the group stages of the World Cup and it's incredibly shocking, since the Germans were being considered as favourites to lift the World Cup again.

While even a 1-0 win over South Korea would have been enough for Germany, their World Cup exit ensures that the knockouts will see a lot of new teams gunning for the World Cup glory.
