Kartik Aaryan Just Replaced Sidharth Malhotra For The Lead Role In Hindi Remake Of 'Kirik Party'


2018 is certainly turning out to be a great year for Bollywood's new star on the block, Kartik Aaryan. The grand success of 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety' has opened many gates for Kartik, marking a new turn in his career. 

He recently signed up for 'Luka Chuppi', where he will be seen romancing the gorgeous Kriti Sanon.

And that's just the start, as the actor has now even replaced Sidharth Malhotra in the official remake of the hit Kannada movie 'Kirik Party'. The film will be directed by Abhishek Jain, who helmed the hit Gujarati film 'Bey Yaar'.

The movie will go on the floors in October. Making an official statement, producer Ajay Kapoor said, “We at Kyta Productions are very excited to start work on the Hindi remake of Kannada blockbuster Kirik Party with Gen-X star Kartik Aaryan. The film will also mark the directorial debut of Abhishek Jain, an extremely talented filmmaker. The film will go on floors this October.”

'Kirik Party' is a rom-com musical. Released in 2016, the film was one of the highest grossing Kannada films. The movie did so well, that it ran for 150 days straight in theatres.

Fans were amazed by Rakshit Shetty's acting and now, Kartik is all set to step into his shoes. Well, it would be interesting to see if this Hindi remake does justice to the original film.
