With the onset of the wedding season, you are sure to receive thousands of invites and will definitely be looking forward to attending them with much zeal, but no matter how creative those wedding cards are…nothing, I repeat, nothing can beat the kickass invite this family has created for their guests. 

The wedding invite in discussion is that of the mining baron and former BJP leader Gali Janardhan Reddy’s daughter. Wedding invites in boxes are nothing new - we have seen boxes filled with dry fruits, sweets, and even chocolates. But not even in their wildest dreams could one have imagined that a wedding invite would come with an LCD screen playing a pre-wedding video. Clearly, written words are so passé.  

The video features Reddy, his wife, his son, daughter Brahmani and the groom Rajeev Reddy. In fact, rumors are rife that actors Shah Rukh Khan, Tamannah, Prabhu Deva and Katrina Kaif may perform at the wedding that is scheduled for November 16. 

Just FYI, Reddy spent over three years in jail because of the Bellary illegal mining case and was released in January 2015 on conditional bail by the Supreme Court.  

Coming back to the invite, with the amount of energy and money this family has spent on a wedding invite, one can only imagine how grand the wedding is going to be. So what’s next? Sending the entire wedding footage in a box to all those who couldn’t attend the wedding? Or installing drones at the wedding location and connecting it to the broadcast stations for live coverage? (We hope that doesn’t count as a suggestion.)
