Over the time, Sushant Singh Rajput has made his own space in B-town. Coming from the small screen and making it big in tinsel town is certainly no walk in the park. 

Call it sheer luck or pure hard work, the man is here to stay.

His journey began in 2013 with 'Kai Po Che', a brilliant movie that did wonders to his career, as the actor won many hearts and shot into the spotlight. Watching him as 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy' left many impressed as well, as it was an out-of-the-box character, that not many could have essayed so well. 

And then came the blockbuster biopic 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story'. Loved by everyone, especially Dhoni fans, the movie achieved heights of success like no one could have imagined. Overnight, Singh became a household name and from that point on, there was certainly no looking back for him.

Sushant has various projects in his kitty and has signed a new one recently, which has his fans all excited. The actor will soon star in a 12-part biopic series, and every episode will unfold the story of an inspiring Indian genius. 

From Chanakya, Rabindranath Tagore to APJ Abdul Kalam, the yet-to-be-titled series will start from 540 BC to 2015 AD, spanning 2000 years. 

The viewers will witness the phenomenal saga of heroes who changed India and contributed to the history of the nation in the most unimaginable way.

It is interesting to see how the history of India, has all of a sudden, begun to form as the premise for many projects within the entertainment industry.

Recently, even Ajay Devgn announced that he will be playing Chanakya in Neeraj Pandey's upcoming film. 

It will be interesting to see who nails the essence of Chanakya better, Ajay or Sushant?

With 12 challenging roles to play, we wonder if Sushant is the right pick after all, or would it have been more prudent to have 12 different actors playing these powerful characters?
