Gautam Gambhir Wearing A Dupatta & A Bindi To Support Trans People Deserves All The Respect

It's been a week since the landmark ruling, that scrapped the outdated section 377 that criminalised so many innocent people, barring them from enjoying the basic human rights.

But, it's all gone now and even though it hasn't magically solved all the problems the LGBTQ community faces, it's the best step in the right direction which will make sure that change follows soon.

People have been showing support way before the ruling and obviously did not stop after the historical moment. It's just the beginning and so much more support is needed, and everyone is doing just that.

Gautam Gambhir has always been vocal about his opinions and stands up for what he believes in, and was also recently spotted sporting a dupatta and a bindi as a way of showing support for the transgender people.

This all went down when the cricketer attended the inauguration of the seventh edition of the Hijra Habba in New Delhi.

The event that took place at a mall in the capital city saw a bunch of trans people come together for the annual Hijra Habba a couple of days ago. The theme was 'Born This Way' and was organised by the HIV/AIDS Alliance India.

The main focus was to show solidarity among the community and empower everyone. It was also a way of educating people, that no matter what, they have the talent to do the best for the country in all the respective fields.

Couldn't agree more, tbh!

What a great initiative and kudos to Gautam Gambhir for stepping up and being a part of it.
