Jasprit Bumrah Gets Nostalgic After Watching 5-Year-Old Pakistani Boy Imitate His Action

Arguably one of the most popular sports in the world, cricket has continued to enthral fans and produce new sporting heroes over the years. As a kid, many of us have grown up imitating the batting stances and bowling actions of our favourite cricketers in our backyard. From Brian Lara's unique stance to Wasim Akram's bowling stride, youngsters have proudly copied the tools of the trade of the cricketing icons.

In a similar incident, a young boy from Pakistani recently took the social media by storm, after he was spotted imitating the bowling action of India's new pace-bowling sensation Jasprit Bumrah.Β

In a recently-shared video on Twitter, the five-year-old kid was seen delivering the ball the way Bumrah does in international cricket.

The tweet further claims that the Pakistani youngster became an ardent fan of the Indian seamer, after watching his exploits in the recently-concluded Asia Cup, that was eventually won by India following their triumph over Bangladesh in the final.Β

"5 Years Old kid from pak is a big fan of You. After watching you in the recently concluded Asia cup every time he tries to bowl like him," the tweet read.

As a kid, I remember how I used to copy the actions of my cricketing heroes. Γ°

After the cute video went viral on the social media, Bumrah, too, couldn't stop himself from posting a heartfelt reply while recalling how he used to copy the bowling actions of his cricketing heroes. "As a kid, I remember how I used to copy the actions of my cricketing heroes. It's a wonderful feeling to see kids copying my action today," Bumrah tweeted.

Bumrah might have been rested from the ongoing five-match ODI series against West Indies, but there is little doubt over his importance in the Indian team. One of the vital cogs in India's bowling line-up, the right-arm seamer boasts of 143 wickets in 82 international matches across all formats of the game.
