Arnold Schwarzenegger Lost Rajnikanth's '2.0' To Akshay Kumar Proving Who's The Ultimate Khiladi

India's most expensive film, '2.0', is releasing in three days and as expected our excitement has shot up to the sky, as we gear up to watch two of the biggest action stars fight each other on the big screen.

While fans are going gaga over Akshay Kumar's portrayal of a villain, if director S Shankar had his way and everything fell in place, then we would have been talking about Arnold Schwarzenegger's epic battle with Rajinikanth instead.

Reportedly, 71-year-old Arnold aka Hollywood's badass Terminator was Shankar's first choice for the role of Dr. Richard. In fact, the film's team even approached him Arnold for the role and even the dates were assigned to him. However, things didn't work out due to contractual issues.

Shankar said, "We had thought of casting Arnold. We had talked and allotted dates also. But somehow things did not work out as the contracts of Hollywood and India are contradictory."

"So we thought of looking at a good cast from the Indian film industry," Shankar further added. Talking about how Akshay Kumar came on-board, he mentioned how Akshay was in touch with Lyca Productions for the Hindi remake of 'Kaththi' and that's how he got recommended and finalised, "Everyone told me to consider Akshay and I also thought it would be nice. I narrated the story to him and he said yes.

'2.0' that is releasing on November 29, is made on a budget of over Rs. 530 crore and has already recovered most of the money, even before its release.
