OnePlus Was Caught Advertising A Phone That Does Not Exist And That's Misleading Customers

In a promotional video that showcases the newly launched OnePlus 6T has been part of a debacle that shows something rather different than the final product. The video was uploaded on the official YouTube channel of OnePlus where it shows a smartphone that has almost no bezels at the top and at the chin.

The smartphone shown in the video does not have any bezels at the bottom which can be seen when a user is playing Fortnite on the smartphone. The display on this phone is completely different from what the OnePlus 6T actually looks like as there are noticeable bezels in the smartphone.

Users on Twitter also noted the false display that was being advertised in the video. The video showcases feature such as Dash Charging, Nightscape camera mode and gaming. As you can see from the screenshot that the teardrop notch is present while the bottom bezel has been completely removed.

It's not the first time where OnePlus has been found guilty of cheating as the OnePlus 5 had been caught cheating with benchmark tests. The smartphone was able to price unusually high scores for reviewers that were caught by XDA. The report also details that other companies such as Samsung, HTC, Sony and OnePlus have been using similar practices to boost benchmark scores.

OnePlus is yet to comment on the advertisement with a device that does not resemble anything that is currently selling by the company. If you want to see the video for yourself, you can have a look below:
