IPL 2017: We Love You Mr Amitabh Bachchan But Sorry To Say You Messed Up

If Sachin Tendulkar is considered the god of cricket, then Amitabh Bachchan is clearly the godfather of the Indian film industry. The Bollywood megastar has insane fan-following and his movies have enthralled us all over the years.

But, while the legendary actor boasts of an impeccable set of acting skills, his love for the Indian team and cricket is now known across the globe. Whether it's an international tournament or the IPL, Mr Bachchan has been known to keep close tabs on the sport.

With the tenth edition of the IPL in progress, Big B has once again found it hard to keep away from following his favourite team, the Mumbai Indians, this season. And, we can't really blame him, given the sublime form of Mumbai in the IPL 2017 so far.

Just like a billion other cricket fans in the country, the 74-year-old cheers for every Mumbai win and gets sad with their rare defeat. And, Mumbai's recent defeat against Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS), evoked strong reactions from the Bollywood actor.

While Mumbai lost the game by a mere three runs, Mr Bachchan appeared to have lost his mind when he took to Twitter to point out an error by the umpire in the last over of the match.

T 2504 - That was a wide ball in the last over, by miles !! Not giving it has cost MI the game .. !! AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH !!! pic.twitter.com/GHj5mRK2dY

On the third delivery of the final over, Jaydev Unadkat floated a slower delivery outside off after Rohit Sharma - looking to go towards the leg side - shuffled a long way across the off-stump. Since, the Mumbai captain had moved towards the off stump, the umpire rightly termed it as a fair delivery.

But, just like Rohit who came seething down the track to confront the umpire over his call, Mr Bachchan, too, erred in judgement. And, Twitterati - irrespective of Big B's popularity and stature - didn't shy away from pointing out his mistake.

@SrBachchan LEARN CRICKET SIR. THAT WASN'T A WIDE BALL. ?
