One of India's iconic pace bowlers, Zaheer Khan called time on his international career back in 2014. But, the former Indian cricketer is on the verge of beginning his innings with fiancé, Sagarika Ghatge.

Putting an end to the ever-growing speculations, the duo announced their engagement and shared their photos with fans on social media. And soon, the beautiful couple were staring at a barrage of congratulatory messages.

From his former teammates to the fans, everyone poured in their good wishes for the couple. While Virender Sehwag came up with a funny take on his engagement, Sachin Tendulkar, too, wished them both loads of love and happiness.

Floored by the news, Team India coach Anil Kumble also took the opportunity to congratulate the couple. But, little did he know that it would go on to become one of the biggest and most hilarious goof-ups on the ever-confusing Twitter.

Just like the recent Snapchat-Snapdeal and Sonu Nigam-Sonu Sood fiasco, Twitter witnessed another case of mistaken identities - courtesy Mr Kumble.

The legendary Indian spinner apparently got so confused that instead of tagging Sagarika Ghatge - the Bollywood actress, Kumble became a laughing stock for using the Twitter handle of Sagarika Ghose - the Indian Journalist - in his congratulatory message.

If it gives any consolation to Kumble, thankfully he wasn't the only one who erred while wishing the couple. Zaheer's IPL team Delhi Daredevils also followed suit and etched their name in the list of epic blunder.

Caught up in the middle, Sagarika Ghose - who is happily married to Rajdeep Sardesai - also took to Twitter to clear the air.

Embarrassed by their mistake, Kumble and the Delhi Daredevils corrected their mistake with a new tweet. The Delhi franchise also rolled out an apology for the same.
