The ongoing battle between PewDiePie and T-Series to become the most subscribed YouTube channel intensified yesterday for a brief period of time, as the Indian music channel gained an upper hand once again, only to lose it once again shortly after that.
The race between the two, as we all know, has been too close to call for quite some time now. However, things started looking great for T-Series yesterday, as their YouTube channel had gained the lead with a not-so-significant 6,000 subscribers gap. Unfortunately for T-Series, the victory didn't last long, as PewDiePie has once again regained his top spot as the most subscribed channel on the platform.
This, of course, wasn't the first time that T-Series had gained the lead. We saw something similar last month too when YouTube purged several accounts, sending PewDiePie's subscriber count below T-Series.
At the time of writing, the two channels are currently about 30,000 subscribers apart, with the former in the lead. PewDiePie's channel has about 88,976,000 subscribers, whereas T-Series is sitting close with 88,946,000 subs.
This is certainly not the end of the race and we're sure the channels will continue to trade the top spot regularly. Perhaps an episode or two of Elon Musk hosting the 'meme review' would help? Only time will tell.
