This Ex-Air-Force Officers Epic Reply To Raj Thackeray Proves You Cant Put A Price Tag On Patriotism

After the ban on Pakistani artists following the Uri attacks, the film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ that has Fawad Khan in a cameo fell into rough waters. The MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) put a ban on Karan Johar’s much awaited film and social media was divided into two. After much hue and cry, the ban was lifted but not without condition. MNS chief Raj Thackeray said, "Every producer who has cast a Pakistani actor must contribute Rs 5 crore to the Army welfare fund".

As social media went into a tizzy with the incredible condition put forth by MNS, a retired officer of the Indian Air Force responded and put a lot of things in perspective. Manmohan Bahadur, who retired as Air Vice Marshal of the IAF and is also a former UN soldier, rejected Raj Thackeray’s ‘donation’ proposal and proved that the Indian defence forces are beyond petty politics.

I served four decades in uniform- and never did I live on extorted money. What's this happening in my country???? @PMOIndia @manoharparrikar https://t.co/tB2wj4Kxqw

Why should the Armed Forces be made a part of this extortion? By accepting this money they would become a 'receiver' of tainted money @adgpi https://t.co/tB2wj4Kxqw

Indian Armed Forces cannot, and SHUD NOT, become crutches 4pol ambitions. Unfortunately, this is the trend seen in recent past. Stay away pl https://t.co/BBkujRETja

Army never doubts the love n sentiment of countrymen behind contributions to its welfare fund. From now on...? #RajThackeray  's extortion.

@yogashar99 @BahadurManmohan but shouldn't Indian govt be punished 1st for giving them permission/visas to work here?
Nice logic sir :)

Unlike Fadnavis, the  Army has self-respect. Must decline extorted "chillar." India needs no mafia gun to its head to look after its Army

The Indian army, navy and air force have been responsible for protecting our borders with their life, sweat and blood. The amount of gratitude we have for them is immense and it is heartening to see that our defence forces are so fiercely proud of what they do.
