Idris Elba Has Never Looked As Badass As In The Trailer For Stephen Kings The Dark Tower

Stephen King’s novel had to go through a lot to get made into a movie but it has finally happened. Sony has finally unveiled the first trailer for ‘The Dark Tower’ and it looks very promising.

The trailer begins with Jake Chambers, played by Tom Taylor, talking about his visions of the Gunslinger, played by Idris Elba, and the Man in Black, played by Matthew McConaughey to a  psychologist who tells him that they’re just his dreams. But, it wasn’t just his imagination!

All of a sudden, he finds himself in a mysterious other dimension, called Mid-World, and is talking to the Gunslinger, who tells him that he’s not a Gunslinger because there aren’t Gunslingers anymore and the Man in Black isn’t “like the devil,” he’s actually worse than the devil. The mystery is building up even more now.

Obviously there’s a quest to save the mankind and the trailer is filled with chilling one-liners like “death always wins” and “I do not kill with my gun, I kill with my heart.”

The movie is not an exact adaptation of the book series by Stephen King, rather it will act as a sequel to the entire series. The novels follows Roland Deschain (aka the Gunslinger), through a fantastic feudal society, as he quests to discover The Dark Tower, which is said to connect various universes together.
