We love the Indian Music Industry, we honestly do. It has given us some really good songs, for a number of occasions. Be it a party anthem, or a song that just sits well when we feel sombre, we have a wide array of songs to choose from. And the lyrics that are a part of those songs - man, do they give us goosebumps at times.

With that being said, there are a few songs and their lyrics that are downright ridiculous.

Genda Phool - Badshah

There are a lot of reasons why people just cringe at the song, especially if that guyâs a Bengali. First of all, it just besmirches a classic Bengali folk song with inane trash. However, the lyrics that accompany the rest of the song, is just absurd - 

Bum Tera Gotay Khaye, Kamar Pe Teri Butterfly, 

Body Teri Makkhan Jaise, Khane Mein Bas Tu Butter Khayeâ¦

Oh wait, we are not done, thereâs moreâ¦

Come on Baby Kick It, Kick It, Katun Teri Ticket Ticket,

Seriously, what was Badshah thinking?

Hookah Bar - Himesh Reshammiya

Oh you know this one was on this list. Himesh Reshammiya has a penchant for two things - making songs that are catchy as heck, and making song hooks that stick to your brain for years. However, in that pursuit, he has often given us some bizarre lyrics. For example - 

Teri akhiyon ka waar jaise sher ka shikar

Tera husn dhueydaar jaise jaltaa cigar

Tere pyar ka nasha kabhi aar kabhi paar

Tera pyaar pyaar pyaar hookah barâ¦

Please donât make us listen to this song. Like, ever again...

Vroom Vroom - Badshah (The Rap Portion)

Here is another fascinating number by Badshah. Fascinating because it makes us wonder how creepy and cringy can lyrics get? Seriously, these are the actual lyrics from a part in the song -

Let me turn you on

Tell us you didnât cringe on reading these lyrics. There is something called, sexual banter, there are some metaphysical innuendos and then, there is whatever you would call this.

Po Po - Shabbir Ahmed

You have to know that you have done a bad job when you have to name a son Po Po. If that doesnât seem ridiculous enough, take a look at the lyrics.

Tu hai mind blowing maal aaja nach le

O soni nach le o soni nach le mere naal ve

Agree, it is not as ridiculous as some of the other songs, but still, it ranks pretty high up

Ice Cream Khaungi - Shabbir Ahmed

I bet you donât remember this one, now, do you. Well, it is only plausible. The song was a part of a movie called The Xpose, starring Himesh Reshammiya & Yo Yo Honey Singh. If youâre laughing just at this fact, hold your horses, and take a look at the lyrics -

The music video of this one is even hilarious. And mind you this is supposed to be a serious, thriller film.

Aa Re Pritam Pyaare - Sameer Anjaan

Rowdy Rathore was your typical masala entertainer and a movie that necessitated that you left your brains at home when you went to watch the film. Thatâs okay, Bollywood isnât usually known for making films that make you think that hard, barring a few instances. But until we read the lyrics for this song we didnât know that you are supposed to leave your brains behind, even when listening to the songs.

Aa re pritam pyare 

Bandook mein naa toh goli mere 

Sab aag toh mere kurti mein re 

Zara hukka utha zarrra chillam jala  

Pallu ke neeche chupa ke rakha hai 

Utha doon toh hungama hoâ¦. 

Pallu ke neeche daba ke rakha hai 

Utha doon toh hungama hoâ¦.

Not just these, there are several other instances from the soundtrack of the film that was as bad.

Fevicol Se - Sajid-Wajid, Ashraf Ali

Finally, we have a gem of an example of just how ridiculous lyrics can get. The song is full of such instances. So many in fact that we cannot even count all of them. Here are just a few of the choicest ones - 

Pyar karle tu aaj angur ki daughter se

Naseeyat bhool jayega tu ek gotar se

Peene wale ko bhi jeene ka maza aayega

Ye woh daru hai jo chadh jaaye sirf water seâ¦.

And then thereâs also this - 

Main to tanduri main to tanduri murgi hoon yaar

Gatkale saiyan alcohol se oh yeah.

And finally, there is this - 

Nain hum ladayenge baby doll se

Ho laundiya patayenge miss call se

Bat-ball se, Cinema hall se

Are marriage-hall se, Overall se

Tere photo ko seene me yaar

Chipka lunga main Fevicol se

Leave aside the tons of problematic things that the song does for a moment, what coherent sense can we make of these? We certainly couldnât.
