KARACHI: A body has been recovered late Friday night from Taiser Town here, rescue sources said, while police have rounded up ten other suspects in various search operations in the city.

Rescue sources revealed that the body of a woman recovered from Taiser Town, adding that it bears torture marks.

Police search operations

A door-to-door search operation by rangers is underway in the city?s Jahangir Road No. 2 area, wherein five suspects have been detained till now, sources said.

Over 25 rangers personnel are partaking in the search operation, under which the area has been locked down, sources disclosed further.

In another search operation, conducted by PIB Police in the old Sabzi Mandi area of Karachi, motorcycle lifter Umar Farooq has been arrested, police mentioned, adding that the suspect?s identification has helped recover four stolen bikes.

Search raids are being carried out to find Farooq?s accomplices. Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the arrested.

Two dacoits ? Kabeer and Saeed ? have been taken into police custody during a search operation in Saddar, while weapons, mobile phones, and motorcycles were recovered from the suspects, security officials stated. The arrestees are habitual offenders, police said, adding that they have been arrested in the past as well.

An operation in Mobina Town, on the other hand, led to the arrest of two suspects who are accused of land grabbing, police explained. A case has been filed against the suspects, from whom weapons were recovered as well.
