Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meeting for Ramazan moon sighting under way
ISLAMABAD: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meeting led by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman for sighting of the Ramazan moon is under way in Islamabad.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department predicts that there are very little chances of the moon being sighted today, while adding it could be sighted in the coastal belt of Balochistan.
The final decision in this regard will be given by Mufti Rehman after collecting statements from all zonal moon-sighting committees across the country.
Saudi Arabia, along with other gulf states, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Singapore and several other countries will be observing the first day of Ramazan from Saturday as the moon was not sighted there on Thursday night.
