KARACHI: Four suspects were taken into custody late Friday night during search operations carried out in the metropolis? various areas, police said.

During a raid in Gulbahar, Baloch Para, drug seller Abdul Shakoor Baloch was arrested near Anjuman Hall, security officials stated, adding that contraband was recovered from the suspect. A case has subsequently been filed against Baloch, police mentioned.

Suspect Usman was detained by police for dealing drugs, in an operation conducted near Paposh?s Khilafat Chowk area. While contraband was recovered from the arrestee and a case was registered, his accomplice managed to escape arrest.

Two street criminals Saqib and Ghulam Haidar were arrested during a search operation in Baldia Town here. Weapons, cash, and stolen bikes and mobile phones were recovered from the suspects, police explained.
