Ind vs Pak: Predicting Indias Triumph Pakistans Most Famous Fan Switches Loyalties in Favour Of The Men In Blue

Just like Real Madrid and Barcelona in football, India and Pakistan share a rivalry like no other in international cricket. The clashes between the two sub-continent giants not only evokes a strong response from fans globally, but it also tends to serve the purpose for TRP-hungry sponsors. And, 4th June is going to be no different.

The Indian cricket team will once again lock horns with their perennial rivals in what promises to be a blockbuster clash of the ICC Champions Trophy. While the two teams are busy preparing for the exciting contest, the fans, too, have got their own expectations and predictions ahead of the game.

So much so that one particular fan has not only predicted the outcome of Sunday's clash, but his conviction has also made him switch his loyalties from Pakistan to India.

Mohammad Bashir, popularly known as 'Chacha Chicago', has been a loyal and prominent supporter of the Pakistan cricket team over the years. He has been one of the most well-known faces in the stands and followed his team to every Indo-Pak encounter in the last six years.

But, on Sunday, the Pakistan cricket team will not have the support of their mascot. Rather, 'Chacha Chicago' will be rooting for their rivals India at Edgbaston. So what really made a loyal Pakistan fan turn into a Team India supporter? Well the answer is pretty obvious.

"Ab koi muqabla nahi raha India-Pakistan ka (India-Pakistan match is not the contest it used to be). India bahut aage nikal gaya hain (India are miles ahead of Pakistan)," Bashir was quoted as saying by NDTV.com.

On the other hand, Bashir also feels that the Pakistani side lacks big players when compared with the star-studded Indian team.

"Ek side par Dhoni, Kohli, Yuvraj aur Pakistan mein toh koi bada player hee nahi hain (there is no star player in Pakistan compared to the Indian line-up)," he said.

"What an era it was when the likes of Javed Miandad, Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis would play. Now I don't even know the names of most players. India should have it easy," he added.

While 'Chacha Chicago' might have placed his money on the Indian side, Pakistan still boasts of a 2-1 lead over their fierce rivals and neighbours in the Champions Trophy. And, on Sunday, Virat Kohli and his men will have to be at their prolific best to improve their record against Pakistan.
