Freshly leaked images of the refurbished non-exploding Note 7 have appeared in the wild and it does not look any different from the original smartphone. There have been many names associated with the refurbished version, namely the Note 7R or Galaxy Note FE (Fan Edition), however, this is the first time the world will get a look at the new, refurbished phone.

The phone looks exactly like the old one minus the explosions. That is the one of the main differences and we’re kinda glad that it is. The images were acquired by DroidHolic and upon closer inspection, one can see the “R” in the lower right corner on the rear of the phone.

The “R” signifies refurbished of course and the smartphone is already on sale in China. Samsung has not officially announced whether the sales have commenced in our country. Previous rumours and leaks showed rendered images of the smartphone, however, these images are real-life pictures of the refurbished device. The smartphone might actually be the official Note 7R or it may be a counterfeit since the Chinese are notoriously famous for counterfeiting smartphones and duping less informed customers.

The Note 7R is expected to have a non-exploding 3,200 mAh battery which is 300 mAh smaller than the original Note 7, which was the primary cause for the Note 7 explosions. Earlier this year, Samsung did confirm that the Note 7 will launch before the impending launch of the Note 8 later this year. Currently, it is unknown how much the smartphone will retail for and in what countries it will be sold.
