ARIFWALA: Police arrested a man, identified as 40-year-old Ahmed Yar, for killing his three underage daughters and attempting to murder his wife in a village in Arifwala district early Saturday morning.

According to the police, Ahmed Yar, a resident of 83 IB village, had a domestic dispute with his wife, Shakeela, after which his wife went  to live with her side of the family.

Ahmed Yar then strangulated his three daughters, identified as 11-year-old Zainab, 7-year-old Zameera and 5-year-old Maryam and travelled to his in-laws? house and attacked his wife with a sharp edged instrument.

As he was escaping, he was caught by the neighbours and handed over to the police.

The daughters? bodies have been sent for a post mortem.
