KARACHI: Police arrested two suspected robbers during a search operation in Manghopir?s Wangi Goth area late Saturday night, Geo News reported.

According to SP Orangi Town, one dacoit escaped arrest. The detained suspects were involved in various crimes, the official added.

Separately, two more suspects allegedly involved in street crimes were taken into custody as police carried out a raid in Khawaja Ajmeer Nagri area, DSP Altaf Hussain informed.

The suspects were detained as they looted people withdrawing cash from ATM machines, the police officer said, adding that weapons and a motorcycle were recovered from them.

In addition, the suspects are wanted in five cases which had been registered against them at the Sir Syed and Khawaja Ajmeer Nagri police stations, Hussain stated.

Suspect Zafar Khan was detained by police during an operation conducted in Baldia Town?s Saeedabad area. He was wanted in two cases that had been filed under the anti-terrorism law, SP Asif Razzaq said.
