Two actors lost their lives while shooting for ‘Maasti Gudi’, a Kannada film and it’s something we really need to talk about. The unfortunate incident happened while the crew was filming the climax scene at Thippagondanahalli lake. The scene demanded the lead actor Duniya Vijay, and co-actors Anil and Raghava Uday to jump off a chopper from a height of 100 feet into the lake.
Duniya Vijay survived, thanks to his life jacket. The other two lost their lives because the makers didn’t consider their safety important enough. They weren’t given any harnesses because probably the producer didn’t find investing in safety gear worth it, not for a mere character artiste and hi stuntman definitely.
While a search operation is being carried out to look for Anil and Raghava Uday’s bodies, the film fraternity is taking to Twitter to hold the crew, and more importantly, the makers of the film responsible for their Anil and Raghava Uday’s untimely demise.
Rishi Kapoor raised a very valid point. Is that the cost of human lives?
RIP.Two stuntmen drown whilst filming a stunt from a chopper in a Kannada film. When VFX facilities available, then why endanger human lives? pic.twitter.com/HvPjlrLr8f

— Sharmiela Mandre (@sharmilamandre) November 7, 2016Actor, director, screen writer Rakshit Shetty wrote this message for the Indian film fraternity on his Facebook and we couldn’t agree more.
We wish a speedy recovery to Duniya Vijay and we pray Anil and Raghava Uday are in a better place right now, where their lives are valued just as much as anyone else’s. This is a sad day for the entertainment industry .
