The Joint Investigation Team (JIT), formed by the Supreme Court to investigate alleged corruption by the first family, has approached the apex court?s registrar office for visiting Qatar, revealed sources on Thursday.

The investigation team needs approval from the apex court bench before it can travel of the country.

Sources also revealed that two members of the JIT will travel to Doha after permission is received from the court. 

Earlier, Prince Hamad Bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani of Qatar said he would be willing to record his statement in Qatar if the JIT wishes to visit and interview him.
