It was tragic when we heard of Adam West’s demise earlier this month. He was the first Batman and a childhood hero for many.

In a touching tribute to the original caped crusader, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti is going to shine the Bat Signal over the city at 9 pm on the 15th of June.
It’s a public event and all are invited to City Hall.
His portrayal of the legendary character earned him worldwide acclaim. The onscreen graphics during the show was a nice comic touch and something we can watch over and over even 50 years later.

His family issued a statement about West’s passing saying, “Our dad always saw himself as The Bright Knight, and aspired to make a positive impact on his fans’ lives. He was and always will be our hero.”
