ISLAMABAD: No employee of the Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan was involved in leaking Hussain Nawaz?s photo, read a statement issued from the commission on Friday.
SECP stated that neither had they received any complaint from the Joint Investigation Team of leaking of Hussain?s photo, nor any of its officers were returned to the commission.
Hussain, the prime minister?s elder son, submitted a petition in the apex court against the leaking of his picture during his visit to the JIT headquarters. In his petition submitted through his counsel Khawaja Harris, Hussain called the recording of the JIT proceedings a pressure tactic.
Subsequently, the Supreme Court sought reply from the Panama Papers JIT against the issue.
However, in its report submitted to the apex court, JIT did not mention the name of the individual responsible or his department. It only stated that the person responsible was removed from his position and sent back to his department.
The report added the parent department confirmed of departmental enquiry being completed and appropriate disciplinary taken against the individual.
