While some of us show off our boxing skills on roads or in video games, Odisha's Satyapira Pradhan used his skills in the right place and has apparently made it to the Guinness World Records, by throwing the most number of punches with one hand in one minute. Pradhan is a physiotherapy student from Bhawanipatna, Kalahandi district. Reportedly, the record was earlier held by martial arts student Muhammad Rashid from Pakistan, who achieved the spot last year with 377 punches, on October 22. Pradhan is said to have punched 393 times in a minute with one hand.

Pradhan is currently waiting for confirmation from Guinness World Records. He told The Hindu, “A one-minute video was recorded while I kept punching with my right hand. Three separate attempts were made by me. Video of the last attempt was run in slow motion.” He further said although they counted 398 punches, since they were unsure about five punches, they kept the count to 393.

Pradhan applied for the challenge after he got to know about it nearly six months ago. He said, “I got approval from Guinness World Records authorities to make attempts on June 5. After getting approval, I organized the event on Tuesday.” While we are eagerly awaiting the confirmation let's just hope that he makes it since this can be a huge achievement for all of us.
