Three camps of banned organisations destroyed, search operations conducted in Balochistan: ISPR

The Frontier Corps (FC) and intelligence agencies on Saturday destroyed three camps of banned outfits in Balochistan's Dera Bugti and Kahan, said a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).Β
At least two improvised explosive devices were also defused during the search operations conducted by security forces.Β
The ISPR added that an important terrorist affiliated with theΒ Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) was also arrested during the operations.Β
The terrorist was involved in "serious crimes", said the military's media wing.Β
Earlier in February, the army launched a nationwide operation titled 'Radd-ul-Fasaad', which would include wide security and counter-terrorism operations in Punjab and the continuation of ongoing operations across the country.
The operation?s aims include the elimination of the residual and latent threat of terrorism, consolidating gains of operations made so far and ensuring the security of Pakistan?s borders.
The operation will entail conduct of broad spectrum security and counter-terrorism operations by Rangers in Punjab, continuation of ongoing operations across the country and focus on more effective border security management.
