ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau Former chairperson Lieutenant General (retd) Amjad will appear before the Panama case Joint Investigation Team on Thursday.

According to sources, Amjad will be recording his statement on the Hudaibiya Paper Mills case. He is also expected to tell the JIT why the case has been at a standstill since a long time.

Among other cases, the Hudaibiya Paper Mills case against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders, Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, was started in 2000. The reference was prepared after their close aide, Senator Ishaq Dar, recorded a statement alleging Nawaz and Shehbaz of making illegal money under the cover of the company.
