ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned on Thursday the acting Deputy High Commissioner of India, S Raguram, over a recent cross-border violation by Indian forces.Β

On June 28, a man was killed and three others, including a woman, injured in the Nakyal sector of Azad Jammu and Kashmir after Indian border forces opened indiscriminate firing across the Line of Control (LoC). Β Β

The deceased was identified as 22-year-old Abdul Wahab.Β

Army officials said the Pakistani troops gave a 'befitting' response to the Indian shelling.

The charge-sheet to the Indian diplomat, who serves as the first secretary in the high commission's political wing, was presented by the ministry's South Asia desk head.Β

In the charge-sheet, the Indian government was strongly urged to halt the continuous cross-border firing and adhere to the 2003 ceasefire agreement across the LoC between the two countries.Β
