ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected the bail petition for two senior Sindh police officers charged with a Rs50 million corruption case.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had filed a reference against two senior Sindh police officials, AIG Finance Fida Hussain Shah and AIG Logistics Tanveer Ahmed, alleging that they generated bogus bills to get funds worth Rs50 million as fuel allowance for vehicles of the Sindh Police.

After the Sindh High Court (SHC) rejected the accused officials? request for bail on June 19, they 'escaped' from the SHC premises. According to some reports, NAB officials made little effort to arrest them.

However, Tanvir was arrested by NAB officials from outside the SC today (Tuesday).
