‘Gazab Performance’: Man Imitates Pankaj Tripathi’s Voice Perfectly & We’re Speechless

In his nearly two-decade-long film career, Pankaj Tripathi has had his own fair share of struggles and has also seen quite a bit of success of late. His journey can be documented into a Bollywood movie as it has all elements of humour, drama, and entertainment. There was a time when he used to make blink-and-miss appearances in films before getting noticed in Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur in 2012.

Cut to the present, he is one of the big faces of Bollywood and is ruling OTT. Well, the youth sees him as an inspiration and wants to follow in his footsteps. While randomly scrolling on Twitter, we stumbled across a video of a guy who has perfectly imitated Pankaj Tripathi’s voice and we were left speechless. He has mouthed dialogues of Tripathi’s popular character Kaleen Bhaiya from Mirzapur.

Here’s the video of the Twitter user:

OMG ! Your #PankajTripathi accent is so sexy please say it again. @TripathiiPankaj pic.twitter.com/5WcC3yL7Vl

We wish Pankaj Tripathi soon gets to see this video as he will surely be impressed by the young lad’s act.

Coming back to Pankaj Tripathi's journey, he says that kept himself grounded, chose not to see the struggle and had a rather positive perspective towards it. In an interview with TOI, he said, “See, I don’t have a lot of sob stories. When you really want to find a place, you can do so even without Google Maps, no? I always tell men to find themselves a well-settled girl so that their home is taken care of (laughs). My wife took care of the household expenses when I was still looking for work. We were very ordinary people with limited desires, so we didn’t face any problems. Even now, no matter how much I earn today, I have to sleep on a 6X6 bed only, so what’s the point?”

He was asked if he had ever planned to quit the film industry. He said, “Acting was my last option. I had exhausted all plans; if my plan D, which was acting, had failed too, I’d have to go back to plan A, which was farming--something that I was expected to do, just like my father, if I didn’t want to become a doctor or engineer. ‘B’ was the hotel industry, and ‘C’ would be running some kind of a business.”

Tripathi has entertained the audience with numerous projects such as Mirzapur 2, Ludo, Extraction, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors, and Kaagaz. And we really hope that he keeps giving us praiseworthy performances in the future too.
