Tesla has been building vehicles that are autonomous and are capable of driving itself with the hardware it has on-board. In order to achieve a fully self-driving car, Tesla released a short video that shows what their cars can do. The video flaunts their new prototype software in action as the car makes it way through the traffic filled intersections. It demonstrated the cars’ ability to navigate and correctly assess the situation.

The video is shot from a driver’s POV and it also shows a person sitting behind the wheel because he has to be there due to legal reasons. However, the video also shows that the man does not touch the steering wheel even once or the brake for that matter. You can also see the optical cameras on the car in action and what the cameras are monitoring on the roads. 

The new video showcasing the autopilot in full action reaffirms that Tesla is heavily investing their time and money in a self-driving car and this video boosts our confidence that these technological marvels will be safe enough for drivers in the coming years.
