It’s 2022. It’s okay to say we met online.

We’ve all had a taste of online dating apps unless you found “The One” in school or college.
The course of true love runs smooth only for a lucky few. It’s a battlefield out there for the rest of us and introverts are right in the middle of it.
Being chatty isn’t an introvert’s strongest suit and that is exactly what you need to find good matches on an online dating app. So how do you take the conversation beyond Hi, how’s your day going? with someone you really, really like. Allow experts to step in.
    1. Create An Impressive BioEveryone enjoys a conversation with an expert. That said, you don’t have to be a scientist or a doctor to get more matches. You can be an expert at cracking jokes. All you have to do is let them know—through your pictures and your bio.
That’s the first step for everyone. So here are some pointers on how to crack it.
Mention what you do: And I don’t mean your hobbies. It’ll help the other person find common grounds.
Keep it short and crisp: You skim through long articles, don’t you? They might do the same.
Do not use SMS English: “Oh, ur so sexy”, “ur hot”, “u luk nice”—it’s not cool anymore so write full sentences.
Double-check the text: Poor grammar and spelling errors are big turn-offs.
Have clarity on what you’re looking for: Create your profile with that in mind and be honest about it. It saves time.
Add humour: You’re not a talker but you might a master of sarcasm. That’s attractive.
Write a bio for yourself first: What would make you swipe right on your profile. Keep that in mind and then write.
Don’t use dominating language: “Must be adventurous”, “should be good at cooking”, you don’t want to sound bossy. Keep it positive and respectful.
Use the right pictures: Professionally clicked, edited selfies are not what women are looking at. Go for candids. Remember, people are here to connect, not to shower praises on someone’s gym body.
Women love to see a man's sense of focus and intensity. Imagine a shot of you in action playing basketball, focusing on making a shot or you backstage with a band.
Put up pictures from a social gathering and another showing you in some sort of action. The latter sparks curiosity and creates a topic of conversation.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__3216__
    2. Be Honest About Your Preferred Communication MethodCommunication with strangers, as an introvert, isn’t your best quality. So don’t take risks here. The clearer you are, the longer your matches will stick around.
If you don’t want to respond to texts all day long, let them know. If you hate typing and would rather prefer a call. Clarify it.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__3217__
    3. Show, Do Not TellIn today’s day and age, words mean squat to most youngsters. Keep in mind that you might not be the first person in your match’s life and you’re not the only one they’re talking to. So the only thing that gives you the edge in the online dating game is how impressive your actions are.
You are a man who respects women? Show them that. Don’t jump straight to “nudes”. Refrain from asking for *** at the initial stage.
You’re a good listener? Show it to them. You’re a funny guy? Hopefully, that’ll reflect in your conversation. You’re a stylish dude? Don’t write that in your bio. Let your pictures tell that story.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__3175__
    __ECOMPRODUCT__3218__
    4. Personalise Your GreetingsHow do you reply to “hey, what’s up?”
You might have a decent reply to one of the most asked questions on online dating apps but it never helps you keep the conversation going. Eventually, both parties realise that the other one is boring. Am I right or am I right?
Put thought in your first message. It shows that you’ve taken time to go through someone’s profile and you’re actually interested in them.
This will give you an upper hand because trust me, not many guys are doing it.

    via GIFER
    5. Don’t Play GamesIf you like her, you’re feeling the connection, ask her out. Most people do not appreciate uncertainty and because it’s an online platform, it’s easy to get lost between many, many names and profiles.
So make a concrete plan to meet up. Dress up well. Smell good. Don’t just move a good conversation from one platform to another by asking them their number or Instagram username. Get to the point.
In online dating, when you play games, nobody wins so chuck it. If you're not interested in someone, be respectful and tell them. Don’t play hard to get. Don’t ignore or ghost a person.
It’s okay, rather mature, to say that you’re filtering out people who don’t fit your criteria.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__3219__
The BottomlineOnline dating might not be the dreamiest concept for old souls but we’re evolving. You meet all kinds of people online. So if you’re using online dating apps to write your love story, you might as well do a great job.

Besides being one of the most popular shows on TV, ace comedian Kapil Sharma’s The Kapil Sharma Show is also one of the most controversial programmes as well.
Recently, the show courted controversy when Vivek Agnihotri alleged that he & his film The Kashmir Files weren’t invited to the show because it 'lacked big commercial stars'.
    © Instagram/Kapil Sharma
Soon, Kapil was at the receiving end of trolling.

Later, Anupam Kher admitted that he was invited by the team but he refused to go as the theme of the film didn’t go with the format of the show.
Despite the clarification, the trolling continued and later, reports started doing the rounds that The Kapil Sharma Show is now going off-air.
While people speculated the reason behind the show going off-air is the recent controversies but it mostly has to do with the fact that Kapil Sharma, along with his team members like Krushna Abhishek, is going on a Comedy Tour in the US & Canada in the month of June & July.
    View this post on Instagram
Now, it seems to be more or less confirmed that The Kapil Sharma Show is going off-air & will be replaced by a new comedy show that Sony TV has announced titled India’s Laughter Champion.
Check out the announcement video below:
View this post on InstagramAs soon as the announcement was made, a lot of people on social media wrote how Kapil Sharma’s show seems to be coming to an end.
One user wrote, “Matlab kapil.sharma khatam”. Another wrote, “Matlab ab Kapil ki dukan bandh hogi”.
One comment read, “Kapil Sharma show ab bandh acha hi hoga kamse kam mughal ko promote toh nahi karega Aapne show me”.
A few people also speculated that the new show may mark the return of Navjot Singh Sidhu, who earlier used to be the judge on The Kapil Sharma Show before Archana Puran Singh took over.
“Finally the great Indian laughter show us back. Sidhhu paaji is returning”, wrote one user.
    Another stated, “सिद्धू पाजी आने वाले है लगता वापस”.

Before the start of IPL 2022, many experts had tipped Delhi Capitals as one of the favourites to go all the way and win the tournament. However, the Rishabh Pant-led side has had the kind of start it would have liked, losing two of their three encounters thus far.
The Delhi-based outfit, which finished on top of the points table last year, started its campaign on a high, beating record IPL champions Mumbai Indians in their opening encounter.
    View this post on Instagram
However, since then they have suffered two consecutive defeats against two debutant Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their previous two encounters, which has left them reeling on sixth spots on the points table. All three teams below them are yet to win a match.
Ahead of the LSG encounter, DC had received a major boost as their star players David Warner and Anrich Nortje were both available for selection. With them in the squad, most people expected them to put on a great show and get back on winning ways.
    View this post on Instagram
However, both the players endured a forgettable outing as DC went down fighting to KL Rahul’s men by six wickets.
This defeat raised many questions on DC’s game plan and their players’ approach in the match, including their young leader Rishabh Pant. In fact, former India opener Wasim Jaffer has put the blame on the left-handed wicketkeeper-batter for his side’s disappointing batting performance.
    View this post on Instagram
Prithvi Shaw’s fiery knock at the top of the order had given the Capitals a strong start but their batters, including Pant, dug themselves into a huge hole in the middle overs.

When asked if Pant’s slow batting contributed to DC’s loss, Jaffer said: “To some extent, yes. I didn’t expect this from him because today he got a bit late in getting off the block.”
Known throughout the world for his powerful batting, the 24-year-old looked a pale shadow of himself in front of the LSG bowlers. What’s worse was there was no attempt from his side to go after the bowlers and take the attack to the opposition.
    View this post on Instagram
The southpaw played 36 balls and scored only 39 runs while remaining unbeaten. Although they had quite a few wickets in hand, Pant, for some reason, was afraid of getting out. In the end, his cautious approach cost his side a great deal.
Their watchful knock helped him carry his bat in the mid-innings break but it cost them some crucial runs which, in the end, decided the outcome of the match.

The most successful manager in the history of English football, Sir Alex Ferguson once said that all he needs is French superstar Zinedine Zidane and 10 planks of wood to win the Champions League.
That iconic quote from the former Manchester United manager seems to have inspired former Pakistan wicket-keeper batter Rashid Latif.
Speaking on his YouTube show 'Caught Behind', Latif moulded Sir Alex Ferguson's quote and gave it his own touch to make a bold claim.

    — Khel Shel (@khelshel) April 6, 2022
The former Pakistan captain said that if he gets former India captain Virat Kohli and current Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, he can win a World Cup even if the rest of the players are sticks.
"Give me Babar Azam, Virat Kohli and nine pieces of wood and I will win you the World Cup," Latif said.
    pic.twitter.com/S3ns29659r
    — Rashid Latif (@iRashidLatif68) April 6, 2022 While Kohli tasted success in a World Cup in his first outing in the marquee event in 2011, Babar is yet to get a feel of what it is like to win the World Cup.
Fans were quick to diss that statement by Rashid Latif and heavily trolled the former Pakistan skipper for making illogical statements.

    — Prashant Kumar Jha (@Prashant_jha85) April 7, 2022 While both Kohli and Babar have been amazing performers for their respective countries and are regarded as the best modern-day batters, anyone with even little knowledge of cricket would tell you that to win a global tournament, you need a team and can't rely on individuals.
Kohli had stepped down as the India captain across formats last year while under Babar Azam's captaincy Pakistan managed to get the better of Australia in an ODI for the first time in two decades.
A historic series win for Pakistan. Couldn't have asked for more from my pack of superstars. Excellent performances from @ImamulHaq12, @iShaheenAfridi and @HarisRauf14.

To all our fans, thank you so much for your massive support! pic.twitter.com/oVkjAgfeU8
    — Babar Azam (@babarazam258) April 2, 2022
Babar also led Pakistan to their first-ever World Cup win over arch-rivals India. The win came last year at the T20 World Cup where India were outplayed by their arch-rivals.
It is an amazing choice to have the number one and number two ranked batters in your team if you are looking to win a World Cup but without any bowlers, or in this case, without anyone else, it is impossible to compete even with associate nations let alone the Test-playing countries.

The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) was supposed to be grander than ever before. The BCCI and the official broadcasters had hoped that with the arrival of two new teams, the cash-rich league would once again create a new viewership record.
The opening week ratings from the previous editions have always presented a clear picture as to how the whole tournament would pan out over the next few weeks. Given all the hype and excitement, the ratings in the opening week are always on the higher side as compared to the subsequent weeks.
    © IPL
The ratings for the opening week of IPL 2022 are out and the results are contrary to everybody’s expectations. The viewership has taken a massive hit, falling by nearly 33 percent.

According to a report in InsideSport, the first eight matches of IPL 2022 witnessed 2.52 on TV rating charts, which is nearly 30 percent less than the last year when the opening week’s action had generated a rating of 3.75. In 2020, the opening week had garnered a solid 3.85 rating.
View this post on InstagramApart from the huge decline in TV rating, the overall reach of the lucrative has suffered a great deal, dropping around 14 percent as against last year. Last year, 267.7 million people had tuned into their television sets in the opening week itself, while in 2022 this figure has dropped down to 229.06 million.

From the BCCI’s point of view, these numbers are not satisfactory, especially since they are in the market to sell the broadcasting rights of their cash-cow for the next five year cycle 2023-27.
    View this post on Instagram
For a league that aspires to compete with the world’s top sports leagues, this steep decline in viewership is not a good sign.
What’s the reason? Now, one simple explanation could be that last year there was a partial lockdown in place and people were confined to their houses, and it contributed to the higher ratings. However, this year with COVID-19 situation under control, things have started to get back to normal and that’s why instead of following the matches on TV, people are streaming live action on the OTT platform.
    View this post on Instagram
Another reason could be that people don’t find the league attractive anymore. It has started to bore them out and that is why they, instead of tuning into all the matches, they have started picking and choosing and it has affected the overall viewership.
Another reason could be that Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings – two of the most popular franchises – have performed way below expectation, facing defeat in all three matches so far. Both these teams have a great reach and their poor performances have alienated the fans even further.
What do fans think? View this post on Instagram
The fans are divided in their opinions. Some feel that the ratings have dropped because more and more people have started enjoying the action on their personal devices. There are also those who feel that people are moving away from the league because IPL games don’t give them the same kick anymore. Some are even blaming the BCCI for increasing the number of teams and killing the fun and excitement.
In sab kya farak padta hai. ?
Last year is team log Ghar me velle bete the. That's main reason
    — Shashank Balnad (@shashank_balnad) April 8, 2022Till 2021, ipl is all about 8 different teams. But pushing to 10 teams is like boring , especially fans can't wait to see their favourite team for waiting for long days gap for every match. Especially CSK , RCB , SRH ,MI & DC having almost 5+ days gap for every match.
    — Raghu varma (@raghuvarma330) April 8, 2022Group format, star sports commentery, and no hype ,wrost ad,this is the main reason for viewership fall. When ipl on Sony fan watching interesteingly and promo make hype in ipl season .
    — Baljeet Singh (@Baljeet76682778) April 8, 2022MI & CSK fans disappointed & not watching
    — Gayatri Deshmukh (@gayatreeeeeeeee) April 8, 2022i no longer watch IPL...coz its so long..duration and boring...
    — Avinash kumar (@HONEYFORU199) April 8, 2022It's because of more teams, big players got divided in diffrent teams, so it ruined the excitment.
    — Innocent Child (@bholaladkaa) April 8, 2022 It’s true that the opening week of IPL 2022 hasn’t produced many thrilling encounters but there’s still a long way to go in the competition and we just hope that things get back on track.

Due to the same, Kashmiri Pandits even sought a ban on Haider for misrepresenting an ancient temple.

The recent trend of films in India has seen the merging of the Bollywood film industry with the films industries of the South.

So far, there has been a clear distinction between Bollywood superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, and others ruling over the Mumbai-based industry and South superstars ruling over Tamil and Telugu cinema.
    © Instagram
However, that line has since then been erased in mutual interest with Samantha Prabhu's role in The Family Man becoming one of the turning points.

Now, whether you see Shah Rukh Khan working with director Atlee or Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn working in Rajamouli's RRR, the crossover is happening for real and it looks like it's here to stay.
Another example is Indian sensation Rashmika Mandanna who is now all set to work with Ranbir Kapoor in Animal.
The current scenario has seen superstars like Allu Arjun and Vijay Devarakonda both joining hands with Bollywood biggies in order to garner more eyeballs.

With that being said, there is another really big and influential South Indian superstar who fans want to see in Bollywood as well.

It's none other than Telugu Cinema heartthrob Mahesh Babu!
    © Instagram
With so many biggies planning to work in other film industries, you can only wonder when Mahesh Babu will be making his big bow in Bollywood.

However, it looks like the superstar has chosen to reject the advances of Bollywood in order to do just Telugu films, something that he really, really likes.
Speaking at an event earlier, Mahesh Babu said,
"I don't need to do Hindi films. I can just do a Telugu film and it'll get seen all over the world - that's what's happening right now. You would want to be in a position where you do only Telugu films."

That is honestly some statement made by the actor, who is loved all around the country for his work in films and for his philanthropy.

It can be said that a star of his stature would have been a great addition to Bollywood, with Mahesh Babu one person who can get a lot of eyeballs to theatre using his charisma and star power.
The actor, who made his acting debut aged four, has already signed a movie with RRR director S S Rajamouli.
