    Anupam Kher, who is currently basking in the record-breaking success of Vivek Agnihotri-directed The Kashmir Files, is currently in Delhi. The veteran actor is shooting for Sooraj Barjatya's Uunchai in the national capital. Besides Anupam, the film also features Amitabh Bachchan, Parineeti Chopra, Danny Denzongpa, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta among others in pivotal roles.

    Interestingly, Shahid Kapoor too is currently in Delhi with his Jersey team for the film's promotions. Well, the Vivah co-stars recently bumped into each other in a gym. Anupam, who is very active on social media, shared the news with fans and posted a few pictures with Shahid. In the pictures, both of them are all smiles as they flex muscles while posing together.

    Taking to Instagram, the veteran actor wrote, "Delighted to meet the #Jersey guy, co-actor and a dear friend @shahidkapoor in a gym in Delhi!     While their fans were delighted with their reunion and filled the comments section with heart emojis, a section of social media users connected their post to The Kashmir Files and Haider controversy. Reacting to the pictures, a social media user commented, "Sir peeche usse pucho ek baar ki martand temple ko shaitan ki guffa kyu bola .....??" 
    Another Instagram user stated, "One who acted in Haider??? Bas Aam janta hi paagal banti rahe???"

    For the unversed, post the release of Vivek Agnihotri's film, Shahid and the Haider makers were slammed for calling Kashmir's Martand Temple a 'shaitan ki gufa' in the Vishal Bhardwaj directorial. Due to the same, Kashmiri Pandits even sought a ban on Haider for misrepresenting an ancient temple. 
    However, Shahid as well as the Haider makers are yet to react.

    The recent trend of films in India has seen the merging of the Bollywood film industry with the films industries of the South.

    So far, there has been a clear distinction between Bollywood superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, and others ruling over the Mumbai-based industry and South superstars ruling over Tamil and Telugu cinema.

    However, that line has since then been erased in mutual interest with Samantha Prabhu's role in The Family Man becoming one of the turning points.

    Now, whether you see Shah Rukh Khan working with director Atlee or Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn working in Rajamouli's RRR, the crossover is happening for real and it looks like it's here to stay.
    Another example is Indian sensation Rashmika Mandanna who is now all set to work with Ranbir Kapoor in Animal.
    The current scenario has seen superstars like Allu Arjun and Vijay Devarakonda both joining hands with Bollywood biggies in order to garner more eyeballs.

    With that being said, there is another really big and influential South Indian superstar who fans want to see in Bollywood as well.

    It's none other than Telugu Cinema heartthrob Mahesh Babu!

    With so many biggies planning to work in other film industries, you can only wonder when Mahesh Babu will be making his big bow in Bollywood.

    However, it looks like the superstar has chosen to reject the advances of Bollywood in order to do just Telugu films, something that he really, really likes.
    Speaking at an event earlier, Mahesh Babu said,
    "I don't need to do Hindi films. I can just do a Telugu film and it'll get seen all over the world - that's what's happening right now. You would want to be in a position where you do only Telugu films."

    That is honestly some statement made by the actor, who is loved all around the country for his work in films and for his philanthropy.

    It can be said that a star of his stature would have been a great addition to Bollywood, with Mahesh Babu one person who can get a lot of eyeballs to theatre using his charisma and star power.

    Rakhi Sawant was among the guests who graced the recently held success bash of SS Rajamouli’s RRR in Mumbai. 
    Post the bash that also saw the presence of Javed Akhtar, Aamir Khan, Karan Johar & Ayan Mukerji, a video went viral on social media where Rakhi Sawant is seen catching Ram Charan & Jr NTR off-guard.

    A lot of social media users noticed in the video how Ram Charan & Jr NTR chatted with Rakhi while Karan Johar & Ayan Mukerji completely ignored her. 

    Besides being entertaining and interesting to watch, we also noticed in Rakhi Sawant’s inside video how Karan Johar was caught inviting Jr NTR to his controversial chat show Koffee With Karan. 
    When Rakhi moved from Ram Charan & Ayan Mukerji to Karan Johar, he ignored her and continued to talk to Jr NTR.

    During his conversation with the “Young Tiger”, Karan can be heard saying, “You have to come on Koffee With Karan, I am not going to leave you.” To which Jr NTR replies, “Absolutely.” 

    He is then heard saying how happy he is about the mammoth success of RRR, “I am really proud, excited and celebrating the success of the film.”

    Over the last couple of days, the most successful franchise in the history of the Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians have seen a significant number of their fans turn into enemies after some of the biggest names of Indian cricket have shared shocking anecdotes about their time with the team.

    Earlier this week, Robin Uthappa who is now a part of the reigning champions, Chennai Super Kings, had shared in a video interview with Ravichandran Ashwin that he was forced to sign the transfer papers back in 2009, even when he was not ready to do so.
    According to Uthappa, one of the team management members told Uthappa that he had to sign the papers because he was being moved to the Royal Challengers Bangalore and that there will no more be a spot for him in the MI Playing XI.

    Recently, in a video shared by the official Twitter platform of Rajasthan Royals, former MI player Yuzvendra Chahal also revealed a spine-chilling story of how one of his Mumbai teammates got really drunk at a party in Bengaluru and hung him off the balcony 15 floors above the ground.
    Chahal added that he had to wrap his hands tightly around the drunk teammate’s neck and was literally struggling to do everything he could, just to stay alive. And even though there were loads of people from the MI team management present at the venue, no consequential actions were taken against the sloshed cricketer who nearly dropped the Indian cricketer to his potential death.

    Such stories of unprofessional behaviour, a lapse in player security and mistreatment of their teammates over the years have led to a lot of fans of Indian cricket and those of the franchise turning on them and criticising them on social media:

    After making her Bollywood debut with Imtiaz Ali directed Rockstar opposite Ranbir Kapoor in 2011, Nargis Fakhri featured in several hit films including Main Tera Hero, Housefull 3, and Madras Cafe. 
    Last seen in Sanjay Dutt-starrer Torbaaz in 2020, the actress had to take a break from films in India due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While she's currently away from screens and is looking forward to returning to films soon, Nargis is back in the news as she recently opened up about facing body shaming.

    The actress, who is currently rumored to be dating US-based Kashmiri businessman Tony Beig, talked about celebrities dealing with their body image in an interview with HT. She recalled being a victim of body shaming throughout her career. Initially, when she came to India, she was trolled for being too skinny and then for putting on weight. 

    Sharing her thoughts about it, she said, "I definitely faced body shaming for a short time. I do believe there is a certain look or appearance people expect from you. So there is pressure to maintain that".

    Nargis added, "It's funny because I realised you are never good enough, and everyone has an opinion. When I first came to India, I was too skinny, so everyone was like ‘you need to put on weight’ I then maintained it, I have a naturally skinny state. Later I gained about 50 pounds, so they posted I was pregnant, which I thought was not funny, but also very funny. I think first my feelings got hurt, but I realised it’s my job to take care of myself. I lost 40 pounds, worked out, and got that body back". 
    For the unversed, after Azhar in 2016, she took a three-year break from films and made a comeback with Amavas in 2019. However, in 2017, several pictures of her being spotted at an airport, looking bigger and trying to hide her face went viral and people claimed that she was 'pregnant'. Taking to social media back then, the actress then clarified that she had just put on some weight and was not pregnant.

    On the career front, the actress is currently busy shooting her Telugu film titled Hari Hara Veera Mallu. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, the period action-adventure drama depicts the life of legendary outlaw Veera Mallu and features superstar Pawan Kalyan in the titular role. Reportedly, Arjun Rampal and Nidhhi Agerwal are also playing pivotal roles in it. 

    She is yet to officially announce her next Bollywood outing.

    After delivering back to back pan-Indian blockbusters, filmmaker SS Rajamouli is rightly considered the greatest filmmaker of this era. 
    It all started for him on a bigger level with a film called Eega (2012) that was released in Hindi as Makkhi. While at the box office it failed, but the film garnered enough buzz and eyeballs on satellite. 
    Later, the filmmaker released his magnum opus Baahubali: The Beginning which surprised & shocked everyone when it collected over Rs 100 crore in Hindi.

    The film was followed by Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which broke all the box office records and turned out to be the biggest blockbuster of Indian cinema across languages. 

    He has now followed up the mammoth success of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion with another gigantic hit RRR, which is about to go past the Rs 1000 crore mark globally. 
    Ever since the release of Baahubali: The Beginning, the word “pan-India” gained popularity and has now been used and abused in media and on social media. 
    However, SS Rajamouli doesn’t agree that Baahubali: The Beginning was the first “pan-Indian film” of Indian cinema. According to him, it’s an Aamir Khan starrer 2001 classic. 
    It so happened that at the recent success meet of RRR in Mumbai, Aamir was invited as a special guest along with Javed Akhtar, Karan Johar & Darshan Kumar among others.  
    During the interaction with the media, SS Rajamouli was all praise for Aamir and called him the flagbearer of pan-Indian films and credited his Oscar-nominated Lagaan as the first one on the long list now.

    He said, “For me, Lagaan is my first pan-Indian film. When a film works across north, east, south, west, you know, that becomes a pan-Indian film, not releasing in many languages.”  

    He further added, “That’s (watching Lagaan) where I learnt breaking the boundaries. That is where he taught not just me but so many filmmakers that if you have conviction, you go with your story and people across the country will like your film. So, that is the basis of my travelling into other languages, let it be Makkhi, Baahubali or RRR. The seed was sown then. Thank you sir for inspiring so many filmmakers for such a long time & giving me…”  
    Aamir then interrupted Rajamouli saying, “No, no no, what is he saying! Can you hear this man! What is he talking about!”  
    He then continued saying that he isn’t any master but a student himself even now and while making Lagaan they didn’t know whether they are doing it right or not. 
    Rajamouli then added, “Exactly, that’s what I am coming to sir. Along with Lagaan, I also watched its making video of Lagaan. That’s when I learnt that if you find a team that is willing to give their everything then only you make a film that will connect to the most number of people. That is what I learned from Lagaan.”

    Meanwhile, RRR has hit the Rs 200 crore mark in the Hindi belts and has become only the second film to do so post-pandemic.  

    It has now to be seen how well it sustains over its third weekend to know whether it will be able to zoom past the lifetime collection of The Kashmir Files or not.
