It was with the success of Baahubali: The Beginning that maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli became a nationwide name.
He followed it up with Baahubali 2: The Conclusion that turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters of Indian cinema.
And now with RRR, the filmmaker has proved himself to be the biggest filmmaker from India in recent years. In just 10 days, the film has collected over Rs 900 crore globally.
Even before the pan-India releases like RRR, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion & Baahubali: The Beginning, Rajamouli was a successful filmmaker like no other.
He had delivered massive regional hits like Eega, Magadheera, Sye, Chatrapathi, Vikramarkudu & Maryada Ramanna among others.
Here are 5 things that makes SS Rajamouli stand apart from the rest & every filmmaker should learn from him:
    Surprise Element © DVV Entertainment
Despite helming the most expensive film of India cinema in RRR and going all out with its promotions, SS Rajamouli kept most of the scenes and visuals close to his chest in order to surprise the audience when they watch the film in theaters.

Barring the trailer and a few out of context scenes, Rajamouli didn’t reveal many things about the film that resulted in an experience like never before for the audience.
Point in case, even the highly popular Nacho Nacho song left a lasting impact when the full video was finally seen on the big screen. I don’t think the experience would have been the same if the video song was released online before the release.
On the other hand, people often complain that trailers of Hindi films often reveal the entire plot including the supposed iconic scenes that may have created a mass hysteria when seen on the big screen.
No Compromise On Vision   © DVV Entertainment
In a recent interview, Jr NTR had pointed out that the story of RRR is such that it could’ve easily been made on a much lesser scale and on a smaller budget but then it wouldn’t have left the same impact as in the hands of SS Rajamouli.

He is a visionary like no other in Indian cinema at the moment. The way he mounts his scenes, the stunts, the action sequences, the songs, everything about SS Rajamouli is larger than life.
There is so much happening in each frame of an SS Rajamouli film that it demands multiple viewing to fully embrace its grandeur.
    Heroism  © DVV Entertainment
This was one aspect that Bollywood used to own back in the ‘70s & ‘80s. However, in the ‘90s, and post ‘00s, Hindi cinema started looking towards the west for inspiration & that’s when Telugu cinema came and conquered that market. And that momentum was led by SS Rajamouli.

The way he films his heroes, the way he depicts heroism on-screen, Hindi filmmakers have a lot to learn from it.
The entry scenes of Ram Charan & Jr NTR are prime examples of how an Indian film Hero should be presented on-screen. He presents his heroes as demigods, an aspect that is missing from Hindi films.
Value For Money VFX  © DVV Entertainment
If RRR is made on a reported budget of Rs 550 crore, the massive expenditure is seen on-screen in terms of its VFX, the grand canvas and the spectacular cinematography.

There is often a complaint about Indian films featuring poor VFX. But, RRR plays like any big budget Hollywood blockbuster.
In comparison, when one sees a film like Radhe Shyam that was reportedly made on a Rs 300 crore budget, the grandness doesn’t do justice to the plot of the film.
Whereas, with RRR is worth every penny spent on its making that is seen on-screen.
How To Film Action Scenes © DVV Entertainment
Recently, a journalist compared certain sequences of RRR with 2021 Hindi dud Satyameva Jayate 2. In response to that, the filmmaker of SMJ 2 also mentioned how his film also featured a scene featuring his hero lifting a bike similar to the one in RRR.

Well, here is the thing. The bike lifting scene in particular in RRR was OTT for sure but it was highly enjoyable and saw maximum cheers from the audience. On the other hand, the similar scene in SMJ 2 was cringeworthy to say the least.
Which means it all boils down to the way a filmmaker mounts his action scenes.
Be it the interval fight scene involving so many animals or the visually stunning climactic sequences, there is no other filmmaker who can think and visualise scenes like SS Rajamouli.
    © DVV Entertainment
Sure, the scenes are unrealistic but it’s his conviction that makes them work and how.

Bangladesh cricket team has lodged an official complaint against poor umpiring and unacceptable sledging by the South African team after suffering heavy defeat in the first Test of the two-match series.
Bangladesh players made several LBW appeals which were not given out by the on-field umpires and when they challenged the call, the batters survived on umpire's call on multiple occasions.

    — Niloy Banerjee Himu (@niloy_himu) April 3, 2022
The umpiring was criticised so heavily by the Bangladesh team that their star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan took to Twitter to call for neutral umpires, saying that the Covid situation is ok in most parts of the world.
BCB's cricket operations chief Jalal Yunus spoke to ESPNCricinfo and said that they had already complained about the umpiring in the ODI series and will file another one with the ICC about the first Test.
Bangladesh Cricket Board will be officially lodging complaint to the ICC on umpiring after the Test series against South Africa. (Reported by Cricbuzz).
    — Mufaddal Vohra (@mufaddal_vohra) April 5, 2022
"We have already lodged one complaint about the umpiring after the ODI series. The match referee [Andy Pycroft] had an argument with our manager Nafees Iqbal, but then we gave him a written complaint. We will lodge another official complaint about this Test match," Yunus was quoted as saying by ESPNCricinfo.
"They surrounded (Mahmudul Hasan) Joy when he went out to bat," he said. "They were saying something. He couldn't say anything back since he is a junior player. It was deplorable. Instead of controlling the situation, the umpires warned our players whenever we made complaints against the sledging."
It came as a surprise to many cricket fans that Bangladesh players, who themselves never leave any chance to have a go at opposition, are complaining about being sledged on the field.
Don't complain. Man it up. Take it and give back cold blooded.

    — ikram (@Ikram_Sikdar) April 4, 2022What a joke cricket team Bangladesh is. Genuinely one of the worst behaved when it comes to sledging and send offs but the first to complain. Also I hope they realise the umpires get penalised for bad calls by the ICC panel and jeopardise their own careers by making such calls. https://t.co/g2aFTZKaoB

Bangladesh have already created history by beating South Africa in the ODI series in the ongoing tour and if they could manage to win the next Test and draw the series, it would boost their confidence dearly for the upcoming challenges and teams will think multiple times before underestimating them.

Thanks to record breaking success of SS Rajamouli’s RRR, its lead stars Jr NTR & Ram Charan, who are massive stars in the southern part of India have now gained nationwide fame.
While RRR marks Jr NTR’s first big screen introduction to the Hindi speaking belts, Ram Charan had earlier tried to penetrate into the Hindi market in 2013 and the SS Rajamouli directorial is his reintroduction of sorts.
9 years before RRR, Ram Charan had made his Bollywood debut with the 2013 film Zanjeer co-starring Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Dutt and Prakash Raj.
    © Prakash Mehra Productions
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia of Shootout At Lokhandwala fame, Zanjeer was an official remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s breakout film of the same name that released in 1973.

While the original Salim-Javed written film turned Amitabh Bachchan into an overnight sensation, the remake unfortunately put a brake on Ram Charan’s career in Bollywood.
Made on a huge budget of Rs 60 crore, Zanjeer in Hindi could only collect a poor Rs 13 crore and was termed a disaster by trade.

It released alongside Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra’s Shuddh Desi Romance. The much smaller film was made on a budget of Rs 25 crore & collected Rs 46.26 crore. The Yash Raj Films venture was termed a hit at the box office.

Interestingly, Zanjeer was a Hindi-Telugu bilingual film. Its Telugu version was titled Thoofan. Reportedly, Thoofan turned out to be a box office success.
After tasting failure the first time around in Hindi belts, Ram Charan is now basking in the blockbuster success of his latest film.
    © DVV Entertainment
Reportedly, the film has collected over Rs 900 crore in under two weeks of its release and will soon go past Rs 1000 crore mark to become only the third film in the history of Indian cinema to achieve such a feat.

Everything from what we wear, how we speak, where we work, says something about us. And while not everything may have a lasting effect, one of the few things that do is the fragrance we wear.
    © iStock
In fact, for most women out there, a man who smells good isn’t just attractive, but also tells us a lot about the guy without us having to actually ask him upfront.

And so you’re not blindsided by a surprise evaluation by your crush, based on the way you smell, here is what you need to know about what a person’s fragrance says about them.
    1)  Oriental Fragrance__ECOMPRODUCT__3165__
The warm, spicy and deep notes in this fragrance often hold a mirror to the bold personality a person has. For someone who’d go for the musky tones that this fragrance offers, one can assume him to be naturally sensual and explorative in nature.
    2) Floral Fragrance__ECOMPRODUCT__3164__
We’re talking about scents that remind us of the fresh flowers, early spring mornings and dispense a certain carefree-vibe into the air. Similarly those who’d go for such tones in their daily fragrance are more likely to be free-spirited, close to nature and find joy in the simpler things of life.
    3) Aquatic Fragrance__ECOMPRODUCT__3166__
The cool breeze, wind in your hair, oceanic waves and a certain saltiness in the air around you, that’s the picture one might get when wearing aquatic fragrances. And that is exactly what describes the person wearing it - spontaneous, ones to go with the flow, and often cool and composed in their nature.
    4) Fruity Fragrance__ECOMPRODUCT__3168__
Anyone who comes around smelling fresh and citrusy can easily be judged for someone who likes to have fun and wants to smell good while he is at it. With fruity tones in the fragrance we’re looking at a person with a vibrant, playful and passionate energy.
So next time when you’re picking which scent to wear, remember every fragrance will have something different to say about you!

What do women look for in men? It’s a question that has probably confounded us for millennia now. As men, we end up thinking that in order to attract the opposite ***’s attention, we must totally overhaul our entire selves. But that may not necessarily be true. In fact, the answers may not necessarily be complicated either
Women aren’t always looking for a well-kempt man, rather, they appreciate a bloke who’s well-kept, with a rounded personality. Needless to say that this isn’t an exhaustive list, but if you want to know how you can make yourself more attractive to women, then read on:
Here are 5 things that women find irresistible in men!
Sense Of StyleExperiment with your sense of style because women love a man who can express themselves through the clothes they wear. You don’t need to go over-the-top if you’re uncomfortable. Simple, well-fitted clothes can be a great place to start.
Smells GoodA good smelling dude will always have a better chance of impressing women, than someone who announces their poor hygiene with foul body odour. You could be the most attractive person to exist, but if you smell poorly, then you’re going to lose that girl. Here’s how you can smell better on a budget - Villain’s Oud Eau De Parfum for Men is an enigmatic fragrance, that is bound to leave women spellbound by its captivating scent. A gentle whiff, and you’ll be all that she thinks about all day. Get yours today to change the game!
    __ECOMPRODUCT__3165__
PassionateWhat do you like to do? What are some of the things that move you? Women love it when men can talk for hours about their passions and interests. They also like the same passion being extended to them.
Sense Of HumourThere is no excuse for a boring personality. You don’t need to be the best-read person in the room, but if you know how to laugh at yourself, then that can be potently attractive to women. Do note that a good sense of humour doesn’t try to bully others into submission.
Emotional IntelligenceThe time to be cocky is over, men. Instead, choose to be emotionally aware of your needs as well as your partner’s. Being emotionally intelligent doesn’t signify a lack of confidence, if anything it shows that you’re absolutely self-assured.
What else do you think women find attractive in men? Let us know in the comments!

SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) suffered their second consecutive defeat of IPL 2022 as they went down fighting to debutants Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 12 runs in a nail-biting encounter.
Chasing 170 for victory, SRH lost their skipper Kane Williamson in the fourth over of the innings. The Kiwi captain smashed a couple of gorgeous boundaries but couldn’t convert his start into a big score, departing for a run-a-ball 16.
    View this post on Instagram
The 31-year-old fell prey to the LSG speedster Avesh Khan while trying to scoop a delivery pitched way outside off stump over short fine leg region.
Williamson had already collected a boundary on the first ball of that over but his second attempt ended in a misery, with Andrew Tye stationed at short fine-leg completing a diving catch.
The reason we are talking about Williamson’s dismissal is that for the second game running his wicket has become a huge talking point on social media.

    — Live Cricket Master Updater (@MohsinM55415496) April 4, 2022After their opening match, the SRH management had filed an official complaint with the BCCI questioning the validity of that relay catch that caused Williamson’s dismissal.
Unlike the first match, the catch wasn’t the issue here. The point of contention was whether LSG had fielded an extra player outside the 30-yard circle inside the powerplay.
This was the field setting on the ball that Kane Williamson got out but no one noticed enough to give a no ball.#IPL2022 #BCCI @IPL pic.twitter.com/U1dLYqpb7a
    — Aryan Gupta (@AryanCaptures) April 4, 2022
As per rules, maximum two players are allowed to protect the boundary ropes inside the first six overs but the visuals which have been doing rounds on the internet seem to suggest that three LSG players were fielding at the fence at the time of Williamson’s dismissal.
If that was the case then the delivery on which Willamson got out was illegal and it should have been declared a no-ball. However, neither the match officials nor the SRH batters noticed it.
    @SunRisers please take action
and lodge complaint kane is the most important member of our team his wicket is most important he has been out both times unfairly
due to which we have lost possibly 4 points

    — tweetstar123 (@tweetstar1213) April 5, 2022@SunRisers Time to lodge complain again
    — Cricket Fanatic (@Loyal_Cricket) April 5, 2022What was the non striker doing? May be graphics problem....
    — RAKESH KUMAR (@RakeshBK9) April 5, 2022That graphic is wrong
    Cameraman problem
    — Anshdeep𓃵 (@anshztwitz) April 5, 2022 Some angry SRH fans are demanding the franchise to file another complaint with the IPL organising committee and this time demand strict action against the concerned match officials.
It’s true that the graphic showed three fielders outside the ring but still it’s tough to say for sure what happened on the field. It’s quite possible that there was a glitch in the graphic and that’s why nobody complained about that.

The umpiring errors are a huge threat to the league’s credibility and the BCCI must take steps to ensure that these things are not repeated in the future.

When something big happens in our house, be it one of us landing a great job or someone landing a great girl, the only logical and most ideal thing to do is to congratulate them and be happy for them. Similarly, when something big happens in our country, like someone winning us recognition and an accolade at a global level, one would assume others to congratulate them.

An expectation that was kept far from being met, after people on social media slammed judges of show ‘India's Got Talent’ on how ‘poorly’ they treated Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu.

The 22-year-old Indian model who was crowned Miss Universe was recently spotted making an appearance at the reality show ‘India’s Got Talent’. She was invited as a guest and while fans were eagerly waiting to find out more, they didn’t seem too pleased with a BTS video that leaked from the sets.
    View this post on Instagram
The video that was posted by Miss Diva on Instagram showed Harnaaz approaching the panel of judges at the show and greeting them. While Kirron Kher simply congratulates Harnaaz for making India proud, Baadshah is seen sitting still in his seat, saying, “Yeh koi teesra banda aaya Chandigarh se."
In the meantime, Shilpa Shetty is standing with her sister Shamita Shetty, who then adds to what Baadshah says and leans forward to hug Harnaaz Sandhu from across the table.

Pointing out the casual demeanor of the judges, netizens who were deeply unimpressed by their behavior, took to social media and called them out for being ‘fake’ and ‘disrespectful’ towards someone who brought huge honor to the country.

    © instagram
One user wrote, “This girl did so much for the country, brought back the crown after 21 years. And look at the judges reaction, it looks so fake and they seem not at all interested to greet and meet her.”

    © instagram
Another one questioned, “where did their manners go?”, while some other user wrote, “No bloody respect for miss universe.” Seems like the fans really were rubbed the wrong way and were put off with the alleged ‘cold’ and ‘fake’ treatment that Harnaaz received.

Recently, Miss Universe was in the news for also being bullied after she walked the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week. She was trolled brutally for her apparent weight gain, but slammed back at the trolls as she spoke about her ‘celiac disease’ and endorsed body positivity.

Ever since the failure of Thugs of Hindostan in 2018, Aamir Khan has been working on his most ambitious project till date, the Hindi remake of Hollywood classic Forrest Gump titled Laal Singh Chaddha.
The film has been in making for years now and it is a known fact about Aamir that he announces his next film only after he is done with his current film.
Earlier it was announced that post Laal Singh Chaddha, he will work on the Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha with Saif Ali Khan. But due to the pandemic and delay in the making of his current film, the actor had to take an exit from the film and Hrithik was signed on with Saif, instead.
While Aamir already has Gulshan Kumar biopic Moghul in his kitty, we hear that he has zeroed in on his immediate next film after Laal Singh Chaddha and interestingly it will reunite him with Ranbir Kapoor.

The two had worked together briefly in Rajkumar Hirani’s 2014 blockbuster PK which had Aamir in the lead role and Ranbir featured in a cameo in the post credit scene as Alien no. 2.

Now, according to a report in Pinkvilla, Aamir has already begun pre-production on the untitled film and he himself will produce it.
The source said, “This yet-to-be titled project will be made on a massive scale and will have an important message for the audience. So Aamir has already started looking into aspects like the scale of VFX, discussions around the probable locations, looks, among other things, while the final script is also being developed. He intends to start shooting for it soon after Advait Chandan’s Laal Singh Chaddha’s release, which battled many scheduling challenges because of the pandemic. Aamir and Ranbir are very excited about the film”.

Rashmika spoke about how the new project has been the perfect birthday gift for her, with the actress celebrating her birthday on April 05.
“It happened while I was on the sets of Goodbye. The past few days have been truly overwhelming, as I can finally talk about my upcoming projects. It’s a partial working birthday for me, this year. The best way to celebrate my birthday is to just be surrounded by work and do what I love doing. My team gave me a half day off on 5th to just to spend some time alone, and meet my friends and closed ones, and in the second half of the day I’ll be travelling for a shoot,” she said.
Rashmika might yet again be seen in Pushpa 2.

Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) new captain Ravindra Jadeja has failed to inspire his troops in the ongoing 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Having lost three matches on the spin, the defending champions are reeling at the second last spot in the points table.
Not just his captaincy skills, the all-rounder has failed to make any significant contributions with the bat or ball either. Looking at his body language, many experts feel that the Saurashtra-born is already feeling the leadership pressure and that’s why is struggling to perform to his potential.
    © Twitter/CSK
There is also an ongoing debate as to who is the real captain of the squad – Jadeja or MS Dhoni. Many former cricketers have slammed Dhoni for not allowing Jadeja to take over the role completely and taking the matters in his own hands.

Many people believe that despite relinquishing the leadership position, Dhoni continues to be the real captain of the squad. Former CSK off-spinner Harbhajan Singh also believes that the former Indian wicket-keeper is still the captain of the Chennai-based outfit.
    © Twitter/IPL
However, instead of criticising the 40-year-old, the legendary off-spinner lashed out at his 33-year-old successor for running away from his responsibilities. Bhajji, who was part of CSK’s title winning squad in 2018, says that the all-rounder is seen fielding outside the ring all the time and leaves Dhoni with the headache of setting up the field.

“I feel that MS Dhoni is still captain of the team. When I look at Jadeja, he is fielding outside the ring. By doing that you won't be able to control too many things but he has given headache to MS Dhoni to look after the field setting and everything. He is shedding some of his own weight and putting it on Dhoni's shoulders that 'look after the field setting',” Harbhajan said on the on Star Sports.

Leading a successful franchise like CSK is not an easy task and Harbhajan feels his former teammate is showing some nerves which is quite natural.

Praising his all-round skill-sets, the former spinner said: “I think that overall Jadeja is a very confident guy when it comes to batting and bowling and his skillsets are unbelievable. To get the best out of the team when it is not performing is rare, and he needs to stand up and talk about a few things.

“Their bowling looks really very down at this stage and the batting too needs to lift a bit. Jadeja himself as a captain has to prove a point but he can be someone you can invest in. Give him some more time and hopefully he will improve and learn. Having MS Dhoni will help him this season,” he added.

Before this season CSK had never started their campaign with two consecutive losses. However, this season they have ensured their worst start to an IPL season, with three straight defeats.

Their next encounter is against SunRisers Hyderabad, who are currently rock bottom in the points table, and Jadeja would hope that his side learns from its mistakes in the past few games and notches up their first victory of the season.

Indian cricket team's worst performance in recent times in an ICC event came at the last T20 World Cup which was held in the United Arab Emirates. The Virat Kohli-led side failed to make it to the semi-finals after losing in the Super12 stages to arch-rivals Pakistan and New Zealand.
The loss against Pakistan was the first in a World Cup for the Men in Blue as Indian bowlers failed to pick up a single wicket while defending a total of 151.
India have set Pakistan a target of 152 to chase

India went into that World Cup without T Natarajan, a bowler who is known to be a T20 specialist thanks to his ability to bowl yorkers at will, who was ruled out due to an injury.
Natarajan made his comeback into competitive cricket with the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) and he was back to his best in just his second outing.

The left-arm pacer picked up two wickets and gave away just 26 runs in his quota of four overs. Impressed with his death bowling, former India head coach Ravi Shastri said that India missed him in the World Cup.
Talking on ESPNCricinfo's show 'T20 Time:Out', Shastri lavished praise on Natarajan's death bowling prowess and said that he is skiddy and that helps him to deceive the batters.
"Very happy for him. We missed him in the World Cup. He would've been a certainty had he been fit. He got injured against England when we were playing the ODI series and we really missed him (in the World Cup). He's that specialist death bowler, bowls those yorkers very skilfully. He's got great control. He is skiddy. A bit quicker than you think and hits the bat," Shastri said.
This statement, however, did not go well with fans who hit back at Shastri and said India lost the World Cup not because they missed Natarajan's bowling but due to their poor performance with the bat.
This guy has no brain at all . Our batting cost us the WT20 , not bowlers.

No wonder we didn't win any ICC trophy under his coaching https://t.co/UHkAxzC6e8
    — Kaygee18 (@Kaygee1803) April 5, 2022Lol.. childish statement
We lost the worldcup cozz of our batting..not cozz of a Yorker specialist
These type of bowlers comes into the play when you are defending 170-180..not 120-140..yess we missed @yuzi_chahal as he is a wicket taker.. https://t.co/bDDz4GF5k6
    — Sahil (@imsahil_27) April 5, 2022Excuses. You were shit, accept it and move Mr. Shastri. https://t.co/smK9v3I5aF
    — Liverpool Fnatic (@LiverpoolFnatic) April 5, 2022The matches we lost didn't even go till the death overs https://t.co/iYqViu0cc3
    — Vikrant (@vikrantnp99) April 5, 2022Death bowling Tak match Gaya bhi tha? Handicapped batting kiye the tum log pp and middle overs me. Ek death Bowler kya karta? https://t.co/diHCOQfaWz
    — Debashish Sarangi (@Plumb_infront) April 5, 2022Natarajan back to his best is a good sign for Rohit Sharma and Team India as they will get another chance in a few months time to win the T20 World Cup, slated to be played in India later this year.
Natrajan has happy memories from Australia, he made his debut across all formats Down Under and if he stays fit, he will be an asset for Team India as they look to end the 15-year drought of a T20 World Cup.

As Sri Lanka’s economic condition worsens by the day, the entire world is appalled and scared at how badly a beautiful country is collapsing and crushing under its own debt trap. The country has its residents protesting on the streets, forcing the government to resign and dealing with life altering issues like no fuel, food and electricity. Actress Jacqueline Fernandez, who hails from Sri Lanka, took to social media to post about the situation and urged people to pray for her country.

What was supposed to be a heartfelt appeal from her end, soon turned upside down and ended up becoming a trolling station for the actress. While a lot of people acknowledged her pain and angst and wrote about praying for Sri Lanka, there were a lot of unkind comments on asking her to donate money, take Indian citizenship and even calling her a hypocrite.

Some even called it a ‘metaphoric heartbreak’ claiming that she probably doesn’t feel the actual pain of people enduring it back home. While it's true that she works and lives in India, by that logic, so do many more people who leave their country for work. That doesn’t mean that they are no longer eligible to call a place ‘home’ or feel the pain. Being a celebrity comes with a price and sadly sometimes the B-town celebs end up paying a lot for it.
