    From powerplay to field restrictions, cricket has witnessed several changes in the last couple of decades. Most of these changes have made life difficult for the bowlers.
    All this has been done in the name of spectators. To make the sport more exciting for the viewers. The batters have benefitted immensely from these regulations, leaving the bowlers to suffer.

    It’s no secret that modern-day cricket is heavily titled in the favour of the batters and bowlers are treated like second-class citizens. Despite all this, some people are still not satisfied with this.
    They often suggest radical changes to make a bowler’s life even more difficult. Former India opener Aakash Chopra, who is a famous name in the Indian broadcasting industry, made one such suggestion on the micro-blogging site.

    The cricketer-turned journalist, who is currently recovering from COVID-19, wrote that batters should be awarded two extra runs for dispatching the ball in excess of 100 metres.

    “100+ metre six should be given an 8,” the former opener wrote on his Twitter handle. His comments came after Punjab Kings (PBKS) all-rounder Liam Livingstone smashed the biggest six of IPL 2022, hitting CSK pacer Mukesh Choudhary’s delivery for a 108-metre maximum.

Over the years, we have seen many power-hitters hitting huge maximums but awarding them extra runs would be a grave injustice to the bowler, who is at the receiving end of that shot.

    Taking a stand for his fellow bowlers, Rajasthan Royals (RR) leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal responded to Chopra’s tweet. With utmost respect, the Haryana leggie proposed that to make things even, a batter should be declared out if he played three dot balls.

    “Three dot balls should be 1 wicket bhaiya,” Chahal wrote in response to Chopra’s proposal.
    After Chahal’s response, the former India batter defended his stance saying that not just the batters but bowlers would also benefit if two extra runs are awarded because in order to hit a huge six, he might lose his shape and end up throwing away his wicket.

    Instead of making too many changes to the playing regulations, the governing body must work towards ensuring an even contest between bat and ball. Only then will the fans be able to enjoy the match in its full glory.

    Virat Kohli has had a tremendous run as captain of the Indian team as well as his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore. There was never really any doubt on his ability with the bat but the way with which he single-handedly changed Indian cricket in terms of fitness and approach towards Test cricket is commendable. 
    It was the year 2016 when Kohli the batter nearly did the unthinkable as he missed out on scoring 1,000 runs in a single IPL season by just 27 runs.

    However, despite the mountain of runs, he failed to take his side home in the summit clash. RCB lost the final by just eight runs.
    In the same year, Kohli and Team India suffered another heartbreak as they came close to playing the T20 World Cup final at home but it wasn't to be as they lost to the West Indies in the semi-final at the Wankhede stadium.
    RCB, on Monday, posted a video in which Kohli along with Mohammed Siraj and captain Faf du Plessis revealed their favourite athletes best and worst cricket moments among other things. 
    Both Kohli and Siraj picked Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo as their favourite athlete while Du Plessis picked Swiss maestro Roger Federer.

    When asked about the game that broke his heart, Kohli was quick to name the 2016 IPL final defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad and also mentioned the heartbreaking loss at Wankhede in the semi-final clash against the West Indies.

    "IPL final 2016 and that same year, 2016 World Cup semifinal at Wankhede against West Indies," Kohli said in a video posted on social media by RCB. 
    Fans were quick to notice that Kohli did not mention the heartbreaking loss to New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup semi-final and called out the former India captain on social media.

    SS Rajamouli’s RRR has reportedly collected over Rs 900 crore at the worldwide box office and out of which it has made an unthinkable $12.5 million in the US alone. However, out of $12.5 million, the film collected $9 million plus in its opening weekend itself. Which means the SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus suffered a huge decline in its collection in the second weekend. However, that was still enough for the Telugu grand spectacle to take down Bollywood at the US box office.

    The film has now earned more than any Bollywood film in the history of the US box office. That’s not all! It is now also the second highest grossing Indian film at the US box office behind SS Rajamouli’s previous release Baahubali 2: The Conclusion that went on to collect over Rs 1800 crore in its lifetime run globally in 2017. Sharing the box office collection of the film in the US, trade analyst Gitesh Pandya wrote, “Indian blockbuster #RRR tumbles 83% in 2nd wknd in North America to about $1.6M pushing cume to $12.5M.     In comparison, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion had collected $20.18 million in the US. As for a Bollywood film, the highest grosser in the US is Aamir Khan starrer 2016 all-time blockbuster Dangal. The Nitesh Tiwari directorial had collected $12.39 million.

    John, who will star alongside Shah Rukh in the upcoming Pathan film, said how King Khan was integral in him reaching where he is today. Speaking to Pinkvilla, John revealed how SRK was a judge of a modeling competition he had taken part in during his early days.

    “Shah Rukh Khan is, how do I say, he’s responsible for where I am because when I started modeling he was the judge in the show. So I owe a lot to Shah Rukh. Probably for him it was just another competition that he judged,” said John.
    The actor also revealed how he has a lot of ‘deep-rooted’ respect for Shah Rukh and how he is a 'wonderful, charming and lovely person'. The upcoming Pathan film will also see Bollywood superstar Salman Khan make a big cameo appearance.

    In March this year, producer Sajid Nadiawala’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment announced that his upcoming film with Salman Khan, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali directed by Farhad Samji will release on December 30, 2022. 
    However, now we hear that the film has lost its producer as Sajid Nadiadwala is no longer backing the Salman Khan starrer. 
    The reason behind such a decision is said to be the failure of Sajid Nadiadwala’s recent duds like Akshay Kumar starrer Bachchhan Paandey, Ahan Shetty’s Tadap and Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 3.

    The film will now be produced by Salman Khan himself under Salman Khan Films. 

    Revealing the reason behind such a huge change, a source told Bollywood Hungama, “Following the failure of commercial films like Baaghi 3, Tadap, and more importantly Bachchhan Paandey, Sajid Nadiadwala felt that there was a need to rethink the prospects of Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. He wanted to rework the budget, and script and even rethink the entire setup of the film, including the casting of key characters. Salman on the other hand believed in the script and wanted to take it to the floors as soon as possible. He felt there was no connection between the failure of Sajid’s recent films and Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Salman had kept his date diaries open for this venture”.  
    The source further added that Salman and Sajid had a creative difference over the film, “Salman felt that Sajid had developed cold feet and was not putting enough faith in the project and his stardom whereas Sajid felt that Salman was taking things too lightly and they could reunite on a better subject later. There were also some concerns with regard to the project viability and the revenue model. After a prolonged discussion, Sajid decided to take a step back from the project and let Salman take control.” 
    As a result of their difference of opinions over Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, “Salman got Sajid to transfer the title and even acquired the script from Sajid. He is now producing the film under SKF. Sajid had started working on a set at Filmcity in Mumbai and the same is now in the process of being dismantled. Salman on the other hand has asked his team to start pre-production for Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali in the outskirts of Mumbai.”

    The website, however, noted that considering Sajid and Salman have been friends for over 30 years, it won’t come as a surprise if the filmmaker decides to come on board for the film later.

    It looks like Will Smith's iconic slap at the 2022 Oscars may have intergalactic repercussions. According to a leading UFO expert, the incident of Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars may have convinced Aliens of not visiting Earth.

    The Bad Boys actor had been sitting in the audience alongside his wife Jada Pinkett Smith at the Oscars when a joke by Chris Rock didn't settle well with him.

    Rock had joked about Jada's hair and compared it with Demi Moore's tightly cropped look from the GI Jane movie. Smith went on to storm on the stage before whacking him in the face, minutes before accepting the Oscar win for best actor.
    The whole incident has been the most talked-about thing since then and looks like that's not changing anytime soon.
    Now, according to The Mirror, Nick Pope, a former official with Britain’s Ministry of Defense, has revealed how Aliens may not visit Earth after the incident.

    “If extraterrestrials are watching Earth – either monitoring us as part of a scientific study of emerging civilizations or maybe as reconnaissance, ahead of an alien invasion – they’ll get a lot of their information about us from our TV broadcasts,” he said.

    He spoke about how they would know Will from the sci-fi alien movies Independence Day and Men In Black and would be wary of him.
