    We know that Hollywood star and English actor Tom Hardy has a crazy fan following in India as well.

    And why not?
    Hardy has left fans stunned with his performances in so many movies over the years.
    The actor has starred in movies like Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogy, Dunkirk, Legend, Inception, and even Marvel and Sony's Venom series.

    Not just that, it's also heard that Hardy, despite working in English and American cinema, has an eye out for Bollywood like so many other stars.

    In recent times, we've known that Bollywood and Hollywood might actually be closely integrated in the future with stars like Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Ali Fazal, and Deepika Padukone working in Hollywood films.
    It was also once noted that Leonardo DiCaprio and Shah Rukh Khan were supposed to work together.

    So, one can only wonder whether Hardy would jump at the opportunity of working in a Hindi film.

    Well, while he's yet to speak on it, we can bring you something as close as him working in a Bollywood movie.
    Back in 2018, Hardy and Sound Of Metal actor Riz Ahmed had been promoting their film Venom when they decided to channelize their inner Bollywood fan.
    They did that by recreating the iconic dialogue of Amrish Puri's Mogambo character from the film Mr. India (1987).

    The movie revolved around the story of Arun (Anil Kapoor), who lived with orphaned children, and how he fights against the evil Mogambo (Amrish Puri) using an invisibility watch.  

    Well, in the video, Riz can be heard asking Hardy to give his best Mogambo take.
    “Tom Hardy gives us his best Mogambo – what’s the verdict? Think you can do better? Post yours here with #mogambo before the single drops October 3,” said Ahmed.

    As seen in the video, his take on Mogambo is quite impressive.
    Maybe, he should be brought in as a master villain in one of the big banner Bollywood movies.
    Hardy should now star in the Venom 3 film that is also reported to have Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man.

    The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is currently underway in full swing, with 10 teams fighting it out in the group stage.
    But the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already geared up to take the tournament to the next level. The world’s richest cricket board has already started issuing the Invitation-To-Tender (ITT) to sell the broadcasting rights for the next five-year cycle 2023-27.

    Some of the biggest media companies including Disney, Zee, Sony, TV18-Viacom and Amazon have already purchased the tender documents in the last one week and several others like Apple and YouTube are also interested in associating themselves with the cash-rich league.

    According to a Times of India report, the American tech giant Apple is expected to pick the tender documents next week. The interest from some of the biggest companies is a clear indication of the league’s immense popularity. Since its inception in 2008, the IPL has grown multi-folds and that’s why everyone wants to become a part of the tournament.

    The world’s biggest phone brand Apple has never bid for any major cricket competition before and their interest indicates that the league has the potential to rival the world’s biggest sporting events in the future.

    For the Indian cricket board, this is great news. However, fans are not very excited at the prospect of Apple entering the bidding war for IPL’s broadcasting rights.

    The reason is simple, many believe that if Apple succeeded in putting together a successful bid, watching the league would become very expensive. Apple is known for its premium quality smartphones which cost lakhs of rupees and it’s a luxury that not everyone can afford.

    As soon as the news of Apple showing interest in IPL media rights started doing rounds on social media, the fans started expressing their apprehensions. The usual jokes about “selling kidney” that float around the internet whenever a new iPhone is launched started doing rounds in response to this news as well.

    Recently, rumours around the wedding of Ranbir Kapoor with Alia Bhatt started doing the rounds. It was reported that the two stars will soon be getting married by mid-April. 
    However, when Ranbir was asked about his wedding date, he told NDTV, “I won't give out a date during a media interaction. But, Alia and I have all the intentions of getting married soon, so yes, hopefully soon”.  
    Now, when Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor was asked about Ranbir & Alia’s wedding, she had a funny response.

    It so happened that paparazzi caught up with Neetu during a shoot and asked her, “Bahu kab aa rahi hai? (When are you bringing your daughter-in-law home?) 

    Reacting to the question, Neetu looked towards the sky with a smile on her face gesturing that “god only knows”.

    While there have been multiple reports of their wedding, there hasn’t been any official confirmation yet. When Ranbir’s uncle Randhir Kapoor was asked about it by Hindustan Times, he replied, “I’m not in Mumbai right now, and I haven’t heard anything about the wedding. If such a big wedding was happening at our house, somebody would have surely called me up and informed me.”  

    Meanwhile, another report claimed that Ranbir’s bachelor party will see the presence of his close friends like Ayan Mukerji, Aditya Roy Kapur and Arjun Kapoor among others.  
    On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor & Alia Bhatt will be seen working together for the first time in Ayan Mukerji’s long in the making magnum opus Brahmastra Part One - Shiva.  
    The movie, also starring Amitabh Bachchan & Nagarjuna, is slated for a September 9 release.

    Rishabh Pant is one of the most improved cricketers in recent years. There was never any doubt about his batting abilities but the way he has taken his wicket-keeping to the next level has been commendable. 
    There was a time when he was not considered for One-Day Internationals and wasn't the first-choice wicket-keeper in home conditions. However, with sheer hard work, Pant has made himself indispensable.

    In a recent chat with 'The Week' magazine, the young wicket-keeper batter opened about the phase where he shut everyone out except two players from Team India. 
    Remembering the lows that he had to face early on in his career, Pant said it was a difficult phase but he was waiting for his chance and kept believing in himself and was in touch with Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni.

    "It was a hard time and I shut out everyone. It was difficult for me to go to many people. I only believed in myself; I wanted to prove myself to the world. I did not want to think negative thoughts. I was waiting for my chance. I was talking to Rohit [Sharma] bhai and Mahi bhai a little bit. But mostly I kept believing in myself," Pant told The Week magazine in a chat. 

    Fans on Twitter felt that since the youngster did not mention the former coach Ravi Shastri and former captain Virat Kohli while talking about the most difficult phase of his cricketing career, he was taking an indirect dig at the captain and coach duo.

    After the huge success of Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor is all set to entertain fans with her next release Jersey. Also featuring Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur, Jersey is the official Hindi remake of the Nani-starrer hit Telugu film with the same name and is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who also helmed the original. After getting delayed several times amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the film is finally releasing in theatres next week.

    Ahead of the film's release, the makers recently released the second trailer, which is getting a positive response from fans. A the trailer launch event, Gowtam and Shahid talked about Jersey being an underdog and its box office clash with the South biggie, KGF 2.

    Talking about the clash, the director said, "I'm very confident about our product. Both films have enough space. The pandemic has done a lot of bad things, but the good thing it did is that it brought the film fraternity together. I want every film to work. And only have well wishes for everyone. We celebrated all the other movies that have done well and I wish the same thing for KGF 2".


    Shahid, on the other hand, added, "When Kabir Singh came out people told me to do a huge scale film. But I feel like the scale doesn't matter. If a movie is good I think it will work. I'm chasing the heart of a film, not the size of the film. I don’t come from the thinking that I need to spend a lot of money and be a part of a huge film. I think the people are what make a film. I hope KGF 2 also works. Movies that come out during holidays always do better business. So I look at it that way".
    For the unversed, Jersey and Yash-starrer KGF 2 will be fighting it out at the box office on April 14. Interestingly, Vijay's Beast will also be releasing in the same week. 
    While fans are eagerly waiting for D-Day, a section of moviegoers isn't happy with Shahid's film clashing with two big South films. However, Jersey makers are confident about their product. Well, we also hope that all the films do well at the ticket window.
