    Multiple sources stated on Wednesday that BharatPe founder Ashneer Grover allegedly sold thousands of free passes during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 last year and collected a few crore rupees from the sale of the majority of those tickets, adding fuel to the fire regarding the continuing Ashneer Grover - BharatPe controversy. 
    The tournament's Global Partner was BharatPe. According to sources close to the situation, Grover allegedly sold each of these free passes for at least 750 dirhams (about Rs 15,000) and gained several crores in the process, which he allegedly deposited in a Dubai account.

    According to sources, a Global Partner typically receives roughly 700 free passes for one match, and the fintech platform had hundreds of permits to give, most of which were allegedly sold.  
    An IANS report suggests that BharatPe personnel were granted passes for the regular stands but not the VIP ones. From October 17 to October 22, the UAE and Oman hosted the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 in four venues: Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Muscat. On November 14, the tournament's final was held in Dubai. A total of sixteen teams competed in the tournament.

    The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced a strategic collaboration with BharatPe from 2021 to 2023 in June, last year. Throughout the length of the deal, BharatPe would be present and integrated at all ICC tournaments. 
    However, it did not take long for the Shark Tank India celebrity to mock the report in his typical and hilarious fashion, sarcastically remarking his portrayal as someone who sells concert and match tickets in black while standing in front of a theatre or a stadium.

    Grover, his wife Madhuri Jain, and their relatives were involved in alleged extensive misappropriation of company funds and grossly abused company money to fund their lavish lifestyles, according to the fintech platform. Grover also came under significant scrutiny after a recording of him allegedly abusing a bank executive went viral on YouTube and other online platforms.  
    Madhuri Jain Grover was recently fired from the company due to alleged financial irregularities amounting to millions of rupees during her time as Head of Controls. Ashneer resigned after this, claiming that he was compelled to leave a company in which "I am a founder."

    Director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri's latest release The Kashmiri Files is breaking several records at the box office. Everyone is praising the film for its heart-wrenching storyline and powerful performances. While the filmmaker is currently getting huge appreciation for making the film based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, there were times when his name was associated with several controversies as well.

    Back in 2018, former Miss India Universe and actress Tanushree Dutta had accused Vivek Agnihotri of harassment. She narrated an incident during the shooting of her 2005 film Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets.  

    Recalling the incident, the Aashiq Banaya Aapne actress had said that her co-star, late Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan, had to give a facial expression and the director was supposed to take his close-up shot.  
    As quoted by an India Today report, Tanushree narrated, "I was wearing a towel on my costume and standing behind the camera. This guy (Vivek Agnihotri) wanted me to give cues to an actor (Irrfan). It was an actor's close-up. It was not even my shot. I was not even going to be in the shot. It was the actor's close-up and he had to just look at something and give expressions. This director, he told me, 'Jao jaake kapde utaar ke naacho, usko cues do,'" she narrated.
    Irrfan, on the other hand, rushed to her rescue and told Vivek that he didn't require such cues. She revealed, "The male actor had to shoot back at the director saying, 'I don't need her to take off her coat and dance for me to give facial expressions'. This was Irrfan Khan. I really appreciated that he actually spoke up like that".
    Further explaining the scenario, the actress added, "It was his close-up shot. I'm not in the frame. He had to look at me and give some expressions. Why do I have to dance in front of him for him to give expressions in his close-up shot? This director tells me 'jao jaake kapde utaar ke naacho'. I was shocked!"
    Appreciating Irrfan for his reaction, Tanushree shared that he was "horrified" by Agnihotri's remarks. She added, "He just told the director, 'What are you talking about? I can give my close-up. Mujhe acting aati hai'. Suneil Shetty also spoke up. He was also there, he heard it and he got offended by it. He was like, 'Main aaun kya wahaan cues dene ke liye?'"
    She concluded by saying that because of actors like Suniel Shetty and Irrfan Khan she didn't lose faith in Bollywood. However, she ended her acting career after the incident with Nana Patekar in 2008. 
    For the unversed, while shooting for a song for Horn Ok Pleassss, she had accused the actor of sexual misconduct. It turned out to be a catalyst for the Me Too movement in India.
    Coming back to Vivek Agnihotri, he later reacted to Tanushree’s allegations and had stated that her claims are “false and frivolous”. In a statement, he added that the accusations are made “with an intent to attract publicity and wreak personal vendetta”.

    Holi is one of those Indian festivals that isn’t just widely celebrated across the country but also finds mention and representation in several Bollywood films such as Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Baghban, and Waqt: The Race Against Time, among many others.  
    Speaking of Waqt: The Race Against Time, released in 2005, the Bollywood flick may have been a box-office success, but what made it all the more memorable is its now-iconic song “Do Me A Favour (Let’s Play Holi)”. An anthem for many-a Holi parties, the song featured a certain Priyanka Chopra alongside Akshay Kumar, as they captured the festivity’s full fervour like no other.  
    Recently turned mother, Priyanka Chopra, channelled the same energy while celebrating Holi with her husband Nick Jonas and in-laws.  
    The ‘Jonas Brother’ is big on celebrating the festival of colours, as he has been participating in it for the past four years. His first time was in Mumbai, with the celebrations being held in London the following year. This year though, Priyanka and her beau decided to bring in the festivities at their home in Los Angeles, instead of heading out and travelling with their new baby.

    Alcohol is no friend to health and body. Everyone knows that. However, what most people don’t know is that it has some very serious and visible impact on your skin as well.

    She says, “If you’re consuming alcohol frequently, chances are you’re not getting the sleep you need either, which can leave you with dark circles under the eyes and a whole plethora of other skin issues.”

    So, alcohol directly or indirectly messes up your skin but there are ways to deal with it and undo the effects.  

    Here are some tips to swear by so your skin doesn’t pay the price of your daily booze: 
    1. Puffiness & Bloating A night of drinking might make you feel swollen all over. Alcohol dehydrates your body, which could make your eyes puffy.  
    Be sure to drink plenty of water during the day to stay hydrated.

    2. Dehydration Alcohol is known to dehydrate the skin, depriving it of the moisture and nutrients it needs to keep our complexion looking radiant, supple and youthful. 
    Dehydration from alcohol results in dryness, dullness, enlarged pores and loss of elasticity which leads to wrinkles and sagging skin.
    3. Inflammation The effects of inflammation from alcohol are increased redness or flushing of the skin, acne, blotchiness, rosacea, hives and sun sensitivity.
    In case you’re wondering which alcohol is the worst for skin, it’s the dark spirits such as whiskey, scotch, brandy, cognac and dark rum. They contain congeners which are chemicals such as tannings and methanol that are created in the fermentation process and these even make hangovers worse. 
    However, there are a few liquors like clear spirits vodka, gin, tequila, white rum and sake that don’t do much harm to the skin.

    How To Reduce The Effects Of Alcohol On Your Skin?1. Drink On A Full StomachEating full meals prior to or while drinking will deter the side effects, since some of the alcohol will pass instead through the gastrointestinal system along with the food, so that the two are metabolized in tandem (and thus, side effects aren’t as potent).
    2. Keep Yourself HydratedIf you want a pro-skin strategy for your nights out, alternating between a serving of alcohol and a glass of water helps. Chase one with the other. “This can minimize harmful effects of alcohol on the skin by hydrating the tissues and skin.

    4. Follow A Skincare Regime Before BedThis applies to everyone, whether you drink regularly or not at all. Use products with calming and ultra-nourishing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerine and panthenol (Vitamin B5).
    5. Sleep With An Extra PillowSleeping slightly elevated with two pillows under your head is one of the best ways to minimise eye and face puffiness. This is because dark circles can be caused by fluids that tend to pool in the under-eye area if your head is lying flat.

    Here’s what will happen to your skin when you quit or significantly reduce drinking. 

    You’ll notice that your skin is brighter, more hydrated and plumper. There are fewer wrinkles and smaller pores. Excessive redness will disappear, acne may improve, skin tone becomes even, puffiness subsides and flare-ups of rosacea become more infrequent.

    On Holi 2022, Virat Kohli’s simple message to his fans turned out to be a great success, especially after facing loads of backlash and being called pretentious and hypocritic in the past.  
    This year, the former Indian skipper decided to stick to a plain “Happy Holi to all” wish that he shared from his Twitter account and this change was welcomed with open arms.

    Before 2022, every year Virat Kohli and some of the other well-known Indian cricketers made it a point to talk about how animals should not be put colours on and people should not waste water on Holi. 

    On festivals like Diwali, they used to tell their fans not to burst crackers as it would lead to a sudden rise in air pollution.
    And yet, every time any one of these cricketers told the common people how to celebrate their own festivals, they were reminded of whenever they did anything against what they had preached.

    For instance, playing in the Indian Premier League that burns through the noise and air polluting crackers after every boundary, or match as if they would have no negative effect on the environment.
    Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has also been called out for talking about animal rights in the past, especially during Holi and how we should protect our pets from the colours. However, he was reminded of the time when Team India cricketer ordered beef and pork to eat in Australia early last year.

    Even the leader of the Indian bowling attack, Jasprit Bumrah has been trolled in the past for asking people to not burst crackers on Diwali but later literally walking under a sky full of smoke and pollution created about of firecrackers being used at his wedding. 
    So, after finally learning his lesson over the years, the former skipper of the Royal Challengers Bangalore decided to not share superficial “gyaan” with the public about how to celebrate a festival and simply wish them a happy and peaceful Holi. 
    This did surprise a lot of people, most of whom were rather happy and welcomed this change with open arms on Twitter:

    Gautam Gambhir has often been labelled as a harsh critic of former India captain MS Dhoni.  
    His comments regarding the 2011 World Cup shows that even after all those years, he is still miffed for not getting enough recognition for his contribution to the successful campaign that ended India's 28-year-old wait for a World Cup title. 
    The former India opening batter and mentor of Lucknow Super Giants, Gambhir in his recent interview has surprisingly lavished praise on Dhoni and that has left many fans surprised.

The 40-year-old also added that he would be the first person standing next to Dhoni, in case the former India captain ever needs help. 
    "It's bullsh*t (when people think I don't like MS Dhoni). See, I have so much mutual respect for him and it'll always remain. I've said it on air, I'll say it on your channel, I can say it anywhere in front of 138 crore people, that if ever in need, I hope he's never in need, but if ever in need in life, I'll be the first one standing next to him because of what he's done for Indian cricket, what he's as a human being," Gambhir said. 
    Gambhir also cleared the air on his rumoured rift with Dhoni by saying that it was nothing but difference of opinion.
    "See we can have differences in opinion, you might look at the game a different way, I might look at the game in a different way. I've got my own opinions, he's got his own opinion. I've actually been the vice-captain the longest time when he was the captain... We've been rivals on the field when we played for our respective teams. But I've got so much mutual respect for him, for the kind of person, the kind of cricketer he is," he added. 
    Seeing the change of heart from Gambhir, few fans questioned his thinking and some even asked if he has a split personality.
